  1. Hey...I can do that too.   It's just that I won't hit all the targets and it will be 4.79 minutes.
  2. Looks like a win on the 870.

    Season 4

Just watched the last episode. I didn't think it was too bad. I did like getting away from Rick and all his drama for a while though. But does look like Gov vs the remaining world again, and that probably will be a little trying. Still want Carol back!
  4.   I'm very envious, those are on my wish list. I do seem to have a thing for pistol caliber rifles.
  5.   What he said.  But I really like the 22/45. Don't shoot it enough, but thoroughly enjoyable little pistol.
  6. Thanks, Tanker. I think I just found b-i-l's Christmas gift.

    .357 Sig?

The XD 4" in .357 was my first Springfield. It, to me anyway, shoots harder than the 45, and produces a tremendous amount of muzzle blast. I was told it was a pretty wild round to shoot at night, but I never did try it. Considering what the prices on them are, I wouldn't sell it now. I bought it pretty cheap back in 2011, and actually found some ammo for it even cheaper when everyone was dissing the round.
  8. All right. Start the crap...If I had any coordination, I'd be doing it. Faked my way thru some dancing when in high school and actually liked it.
  9.   Who cares?! I'm retired!
  10.   This is one of the major factors that will continue to cause ripples in the used vehicle market for several more years at least.   The "Cash for Cars" crap took literally hundreds of thousands, possibly millions, of good dependable late model cars off the secondary market and caused them to be crushed.    This so-called helpful program was supposed to benefit the lower income people by getting them into an "environmentally cleaner, less problematic car".    But it backfired. Pretty much the only people who could afford the cost of the new replacement cars were those who had late models and could benefit from the trade in deals.   Those driving the "clunkers" were supposed to be the ones buying all the new cars and help clean up the world. Yeah...right.   So  we got a generation of cars scrapped that could have been sold to the people who usually bought used vehicles. That pretty quickly drove up the cost of older vehicles.   I was working a parts job that had me in contact with quite a few new car dealerships, and saw the types of cars that were sent to the scrapyards. Many were things I personally would have liked to own. They were in better condition that what I was driving at the time.   And several people I spoke with at those dealerships were just as stupefied at the program. It cut out a tremendous profit area for them.   Just our government at work...saving us from ourselves.
  11.    Now that's the watch for me.  :woohoo:

    Season 4

I want Carol back! She and Darryl are the best things on the show these days for me.
  13.   Probably, but we may never know.
  14. OK. I am impressed. Not enough to buy one...but nicely impressed.   Still a neuvo-dinosaur though. Will continue to use my totally outdated phone to check the time. :stunned:
  15. "Cadillac arrest"  :stunned:
  16. Bet that brought the mood down.
  17. I agree with you, Murgatroy. The kid is amazing.
  18. Try TDR's link in post #8. It's an "eye" opener.
  19. Yep, he did. I just typed. Getting old I guess.
  20. Thanks, TDR. Now I see, or rather hear. After watching some of the vids, I have to say I won't be a fan of the vocals, but like a lot of the music itself. Yes, further proof of being an old codger.
  21. Not sure if Dreyfuss was totally serious or not, but at least he's not a flaming idiot calling for every firearm to be confiscated and destroyed. Although the "nuclear tipped automatic" was a little over the top.
  22. Although not the stupidest by far, I agree with Spots and Bonedaddy.   A/M mags and Mini14 should not be spoken of in the same breath.   As far as the stupidest purchase...I can't pick the top one. :stunned:
  23. I've had 2 of them, and never got even close to paying either of those prices. Of course, inflation and CZ reputation does affect pricing.  :stunned:   Seriously though, I didn't know they'd gotten that high. I bought first one used for 350 about 2 years ago; and got the second (after foolishly selling the first) new from a dealer at a gun show in mid 2012.   Don't plan on this one getting away.
  24. Perhaps we might hope it would come to them sooner rather than later.
  25. Very good observation Erik. In those days, being a Democrat meant something. Standing up for what was right. Caring for the country and being proud of it. It's amazing how much the party of the people has changed.
