  1. Ok...just ordered some. Now someone give the skinny on SK Ammo please.
  2. It's been pretty good, Lester. I had some feeding problems at first, but cleaning frequently, and a lot of firing has pretty much solved that. Still have a devil of a time getting more than 25/26 rounds in the mags. But heck, I get tired of pulling the trigger at about 15.   I did get the replacement barrel that was given at first. The one that was supposed to cure the keyholing issue. And I have to say i haven't seen a great deal of difference between the  two. I guess I've shot near 1500 to 2000 rounds thru it. But that was before the cost of the 22mag got out of hand. I'd say it's been 6/8 months since I've taken it out.    As far as accuracy, I think it's like most of the firearms I own. It is unquestionably more accurate than I am.
  3.   Yep, that's another reason I haven't let mine go. Keep hoping to see the 22lr kit. Maybe someday before the next century.
  4. I have 2 CZ pistols, and if I should decided to make it 3....this will most certainly be the one. The Shadow is an absolutely georgeous piece of work!
  5. There have been some really great pistols mentioned here. At worst, some merely very good. Not a bad one in the bunch as far as I'm concerned.   I have Glocks, XD, XDm, Sig, and M&P in the line for 9mm favorites. Don't ask me which, for I won't give the same awnser twice in a row. I like them all for different reasons.   But for me, I tend to pick up the G19 or the XD9c most frequently for carry or odd noises around the house. Which depends on where I happen to be at the time.   As has been said several times before...shoot as many as you can. And pick whichever and whatever feels good to you. If it doesn't feel good you won't carry it. And that's a waste of your time and money.
  6.   Absolutely right on that brother. I can find them everywhere.   On the subject of the PMR30, I bought mine just after they came out. Found one in a lgs and he didn't try to rape me on it. It was  right at 450 otd, maybe a few bucks more, but pretty close. I did tell you wrong on the price initially.   Actually saw one on GunBroker sell for ove 1100. Crazy. They are a fun little range toy and outdoor gun, but I souldnt pay more than I did for one.   I've had the opportunity to sell for near 700 a couple of times, but I kinda like it. They do grow on you.
  7. The 425 I paid when they came out is looking better all the time.
  8. That's good to know about. I really have enough Bulgarian mags for my AK, but might just try them considering the Pmag rep.
  9.    Pardon me, but Damn. I really don't like agreeing with that. But I think that it's unfortunately the truth.
  10. Luck? Preperation? Awareness? I'm sure all these may factor into what occurred. But the willingness to act is primary. In any situation, especially one like this; you  realistically have two choices. Do something or not. I think it's that simple.   And from what I could see on this video, and granted that isn't much; the would-be robber made one great mistake. He allowed his victim within reach of the weapon threatening him. Really looked like it was inches form the vic's head.   At that point, I'd think it's react or die time. Yes this guy took a risk, but it was a risk just to stand there as well.   I hope I'm never put into that situation and have to make that choice. But if I should be there one day; I hope to be able to react this quickly and decisively. I don't think I wish to be that close to a shotty, or any firearm, and freeze up.   Yes, could go either way, but most of us will hopefully never have to make that choice.   Then there's the other side of this video. And I'm not saying this is true. But...it sure was an awfully conveniently placed camera. And it sure picked up the sound of racking that shotgun really, really well.   Just sayin'.
  11. And on a more humorous note. Wonder if the intended victim likes his new shotty?
  12. Better yet...just stop this thread. We all know ammo is in short supply, hard to find unless you spend hours of time and gallons of fuel searching, and no amount of bitching about it is going to change it.   Rant off. I feel better now.   Besides, I just bought a box of Golden Sabre230 HP at normal retail. And not at Walmart!
  13.   You are to be congratulated and admired for that little act of kindness. I salute you,Sir.   Wish I could mail you a box myself.
  14. Ok I'm officially in lust for the PT1911!! I really like my SS PT in 45, maybe not as much as my Sig, but enough that I'd like one in 9mm. Maybe someday I'll run across one cheep.
  15. A peeve of mine is the use of "affect" and "effect."  But that's just another example of the lack of education today.
  16.   That was lurking around in my mind as well, Dave. It's a rotten, bloody shame that a criminal or his family can sue for anything when a crime is commited. Once again, the lawful is penalized for the actions of the unlawful.   What a stupid world.
  17. :stunned:  :squint: Freaking Idiots.
  18. Seems a little strange. Not denying the robber had something coming to him. But in the back? Was the shooing storeperson in fear of his life at the time? Was there a danger to someone else from the robber?   Sure there are circumstances we don't know about yet, but on the face of it; seems unusual.
  19.   Yes. Absolutely  and loudly....YES!   Inmate work programs should be reinstated. Non-paying work. No cig money and all that crap. No easy trash pickup programs either. Actual work. 10+ hours a day of manual labor.   Prison and jail is supposed to be a puishment. Not a paid vacation from the outside world.
  20. Depending on the weather, I might try going out tomorrow morning, but the cans will probably be gone.
  21. But with that kind of intelligence, he's pretty sure to try again.
  22.   Yeah, it's a mess usually. But there's a guy with some very nice ammo cans usually there and I wanted to pick up a few more.
  23. Yeah this weekend is the traditional wet and soggy Nashville Flea Market.
  24. You gotta be kiddin. Looks like a 22 caliber club and ball launcher.
  25. :stunned:  Potential Darwin Award Winner.
