  1.   So...you're back from the dark side are you.
  2. Thanks for the warning.
  3. That's the way Sheriff Longmire would've done it!
  4.   Sure. You say that now.   You are almost as bad as myself and Steelharp for acquiring and moving your goodies.
  5. Great looking rifle. Looks like a real keeper to me.    I'm envious already. May I say that should you decide to part with it in the future, I'd love to be its next owner.
  6.   I agree. That's just too close to replacement cost to sell unless you have an overriding need for the cash.
  7. I used to find things like this humorous. But now it just sickens me to see how many have forgotten so much.
  8.   And an ugly one at that.   Some poor demented soul had waaaay too much time on his hands. Must've taken a lot to sit around and plan such a colossal screwup.
  9.   Actually, a good holster for the Milwaukee is a nice idea as well.
  10. I promise to relate the whole story later, but it was the most fun I've had in a looonnng time. Worth the cost.   I missed the opportunity 5 years ago. I was scheduled to ride along in 2008, but my cancer issues cost me the opportunity.   So this was the truly second chance that we're sometimes given. At least for me.   I had the choice of going or holding on to the money for something else.   My wife says I made the right choice.  Bless her. I agree.
  11. Except being on one of the old birds in the sky.
  12. Actually, the ship you saw was the Liberty Belle. The plane was painted up as the Memphis Belle for promotional use and air shows. And this was the ship used in the movie Memphis Belle. It was at Smyrna Airfield this past weekend for open to the public flights. AND I was on it Sunday afternoon for one of the flights. It was awesome. That's the short story. Maybe I'll attempt to tell the whole story later.
  13. Love it! 32000, 26000, and 44000 at first plays. It sure is a temptation to go after the hostage collaborators though.
  14. Off topic, But...Congratulations, Eric.
  15.   Ouch!  That's cold man.   True...., but cold.
  16. Which is more lethal?
  17. I like it! Makes me all sweaty wanting one.
  18.   We are talking 380 LCP here, right? I wouldn't call them brutal or a beast. Perhaps a little snappy, maybe. I've had one for about 2 years and use it for back-up and primary carry.   I try to shoot a couple of mags every range session with it. I carry it with 71 grain Prvy rounds and shoot the same. Can't say I find it uncomfortable at all.
  19. Just saw DrAlarms' reply. This is pretty much what I encountered in my deal.
  20. First off, I'm a suspicious guy by nature. So lets ask this question. Is this a "too good to be true price?"I'm by no means an expert on Smith pistols or 10mm. But this seems a little low to me. And not trying to scare you off, but that opening paragraph from the seller reads just like one I received a couple of years ago in trying to buy an AR from a guy in Ohio. Right down to the US Military and USPS references. I got a runaround in trying to contact my seller for several days. Everything from missed my calls to off base on "detached duty." This listing was from Armslist I believe, but definitely not from GB or GFA listings; so I really had no way to check out the seller. Finally after several emails that seemed vague and a poorly worded, I just told him I wasn't going to purchase. It was just too difficult to get it all organized. Not saying what you are looking at is the same, but I personally would not do this. It seems kinda off to me. And he asks you to drive out of state to meet and pick up the gun? NOT ME. And his "I'm a military man" seems a little odd. Military, not a branch of service. And the grammer and syntax seem a little off. Have you spoken to the seller? Any communication besides email? Is he willing to give you a contact number? A spoken conversation would give you a better feel for the seller and the situation. But all this is just speculation on my part. Could be all well and kosher. But I don't think I'd risk sending payment on this. But again, I just don't like the situation. You've got to make the decision for yourself. Good luck with it.

    50th Henry's

    Congratulations, youngster.
  23.   Very happy for you on this. But my agent would give me the Customer of the Year Award if I did something like this.
  24. Thanks for the post on the Bersa. Interesting looking pistol. I'll be on the lookout to check one out.
