  1. Asked my insurance company to help with taking out trees a few years ago. I was told that it was my responsibility to have the trees taken care of unless it had fallen and damaged my house. Seems kinda bassakwards to me, but that is what I was told.
  2. Congratulations. It's great that you are getting another. Isn't it strange that we almost always seem to regret selling our guns, then try to get the same thing again? Done it myself a few times.
  3. Thanks for the smile I got from this. Great post.
  4. Yep. ready for it. In fact, just picked up dvd of season 2 and will catch up before the Sunday night premiere.
  5.   Congrats! I'm envious, but glad for you.
  6. You are being unnecessarily cruel, sir.   Should someone leave me a large sum of money, I will have one. And I will have that color!
  7. Yep. Watched since day one. Good and entertaining....sometimes.   Would rather see more of the cars than the people, but the format is the same for most of these shows; 12 minutes or so of commercials, 4-6 minutes of recap after the commercials, then about 10-12 minutes of actual show on the cars.
  8. DING! DING! DING! And we have a winner!
  9. I have shot and own both the Mark I/II series and the 22/45 guns. My personal preference is the 22/45. Just feels better to me.
  10. Hey, Steel. Every go to Costco? the little and intermediate size lights you can find there use Cree lighting tech and are really great for high intensity lighting output.   I've bought several 3-pak units at roughly 20 bucks and they are great pocket lamps. Actually just dug one out of my desk. It's roughly 5" long, low, high, and strobe beams, and has 250 lumen output. I've bought several for home/car use. Some to give to inlaws and other family, and sent DrAlarms several packs as well.   The newest one I got from Costco was a standard size unit, about 8" long. Has telescoping head to focus the beam, strobe function, a cute little SOS flash setting, and has(??? dang I forgot and threw out the packaging) 600+ lumen output. Manufactured by Feit Electric and comes in a 2-pak for 30 bucks.   I bought one just to try and am very satisfied with it. Probably will get another at some point.
  11. A Belated "Happy Birthday" to you, Sir.   And wait til you hit the one that starts wih a 6.  Now that's a milestone.
  12.   No. It's in Pringles cans.
  13.   160??? Can I bring over a couple of my favs? That oughta really jump out at ya.   Anyway, picked it up tonight. If I can stay awake...will try to watch it
  14. Makes some awesome knives and enjoys one of the best reps around here. At least it sure seems that way to me.

That's the Man of Steel for you...always playing to please.
  16.   Yeah, not really a spider fan either. But like you say, the big garden speiders are amazing.    We would see one in almost every window, running a web out to the rose bushes or whatever they could attach to. Wish I'd taken some pictures of the webs they engineered around the house.   They were just awesome constructs. And the flies and mosquitoes got caught in them too. And that was a big plus for me.   We had a lot, and I mean a lot of them here with us until the 2010 floods. Guess the waters either washed them away, or perhaps all the crud that came in with the foul waters might have killed them off.
  17.   Same here. They are pretty good if it's a consistant or long term med you take. But will wear you out by phone asking why you didn't call them for every little med the doc might proscribe for a short term use.   I guess the worst aspect of using them for me was getting live human on the phone when needed. It could be quite a chore.
  18.   Was it the pool or the pool cover that was the culprit there Or the water that caused to pool cover the just jump up and tie that guy up?
  19.   That would be a fantastic thing to happen. Especially if the M&P 15-22 would take them as well as the CCI.   But I'm not holding my breath waiting on it.
  20.    That's insulting to my Tauri pistols! I demand a public apology and 1000 rounds of 9mm to forgive you.
  21. Why in all good common sence would any military personnel invite a "Muslim Cleric" to speak at this service to begin with?
  22. :stunned: Is it jst me...or do the current crop of pistols, especially the small calibers, seem to be getting uglier and uglier.
  23. Guess all these sightings means the resellers are losing faith in their ability to scam us for huge amounts of profit.   Ain't that pitiful. he he he.
  24. Which model? I saw the Magpul 6920 version in Hermitage a few weeks back. Was about 1200 if I remember correctly. It is usually a little higher than the standard model.
