  1.   You quite obviously know considerably more history than I than I do(which wouldn't take much);, but we sure see eye-to-eye on the Naifeh years.
  2.   There is no smiley for heresy fella.   You could be barred from Glock ownership for such inflammatory comments. :stunned:
  3. According to reports from critics, and from an article I read, Child, the author, thinks Cruise portrayed Jacker Reacher right on the money. Child praised his characterization and acting abilities.   I think the books are pretty good. Usually much better than the movie adaptaions. I've read several of them, and except for being a little long-winded sometimes, Lee Child writes pretty well.
  4.    Not too freakin' likely.  99.99 per box for Federal? Plus S&H?   I don't think so.
  5.   Thanks for correcting my impressions.   I was thinking 1970 because of your reference to the Jimmy Naifeh era.
  6.  Totally with you on this.    I haven't been involved with them lately about getting some reduced rates, but some of my neighbors have and I'm hearing success stories from them.
  7. Awesome gentlemen. I'd like to think we have some of their qualities in our current crop of service men and women.
  8. Did you mean 1970?   Anyway, point take for specifics, but I was thinking more generally. As in like almost all the redundant and superfulous laws and acts that seem to emenate from politicans when they try to justify their on jobs/positions, and try to appear busy and productive.
  9.   Dang, my friend. You are a man of great discernment and taste. Not to mention a good judge of character and talent, or lack thereof.   DS9 had some potential, but seemed to wallow in it's own efforts to become something more that just another spinoff series. had some good characters and plotlines, but they just didn't seem to meld inot a cohesive story.   B5, on the other hand, even with its slow start, didn't suffer form a lack of good characters and plots. Michael S. (I never can spell his name without looking it up), created quite a cast of diverse races and wove them together to create a truly magnificent nighttime version of the daytime soap operas for the syfy fans.   As soon as my wife goes back to work(she's recovering and rehabing from a knee replacement), I'm digging my set out and watching it again.
  10.   My wife saw the cans and asked if I'd bought some kind of hard candies.

    S&W Shield

Darn great price actually. I was happy with 540ish when I got mine.
  12.   That won't work.   It would mean admitting they passed bad laws initially.
  13.   This is so funny and unfortuantely...true.
  14. After getting flooded in 2010, my wife and I get rather nervous at the mention of heavy rains.   By the 2nd day of rain, we're thinking of leaving.   At the third day, stuff is off the floor in the garage and we've gone to the inlaws.   But you can't live like that for long, just have to accept what might happen and rool, or float, with it.   And get Flood Insurance.
  15.   Recieved today as promised. Graf& Sons goes to the top 5 of my places to buy from. I placed the order on 5/3 and recieved today, 5/8. That's darn good service.   Just wish I'd ordered several more cans.
  16.   Ditto. Mine is scheduled for delivery today. :x:
  17. CZ75B, the closest thing to a good Hi-power. As if you'd have ask if you looked at my screen name.   And what you want for the P-01?
  18. Thanks for posting this ted.
  19.   Totally agree with you. I think this man could be an asset to the NRA leadership. He is straightforward in his sppech and ideas. And says what he means and believes in a clear and honest fashion.   A sad loss for the "profession" of journalism.   His opposites are probably having a party about him not being around any more.
  20.   That's true. I was referring to another young lady and her pic. However Raoul's comment sure was a good one.
  21. Ok...I'm slow today. Just who is Miss Lube Rack?  And BTW, I prefer Miss Polish Job.
  22. When O speaks...I feel like Roddy Piper in THEY LIVE.
  23.   Sad, but oh so true.
  24.   In our younger days, I used to scarf down a large pie(16-20In) by myself, so I understand the leftover comment very well. but as I age, and not so gracefully at that, my pizza-packi' days have gotten to the point that the normal large pie will do both of us easily. But on the hungry-man days, I can still pack in  two-thirds of one without too much problem.    Of course, I do pay for it the next morning...
