  1. A man, or woman, who trains with a revolver and has the skills to use it, is well prepared for all but the most extreme scenerio. The average street crook, break in artist, or just plain old mugger; will not normally be prepared to meet someone who knows how to defend themselves.   If you practice with your weapon of choice, you'll be miles ahead. But don't just shoot a few times and think " I"m ready." Constant practice drawing from concealment, dry firing, trigger control, point shooting, all the drills necessary to hone your skills and keep them sharp.   Basically..."Eternal Vigilance"   Then a man with a revolver will not be undergunned.
  2. Love the marching songs. Really liked "Sons of UDT"
  3. Uh....Wow.   Brings back fond memeories.
  4. Maybe it's because the old-fashioned wheel guns were what I was brought up on, but I think I shoot better and am more accurate with one than an autoloader.   Not saying I prefer it over the autos, just that I really like them. 'Specially the 60/70 model Smiths. My k-frame 14/17/19 will be with me forever if I have a choice in the matter.   I have far more autos than my revolvers, but I don't think I'd willingly get rid of all of 'em.   They're just too good.
  5. Top row, 2nd from left looks kinda tribal witha topknot.   Middle row, 2nd from left, I think I saw him in an old 50's scifi movie. Looks like a head and a half filling that mask.
  6. Yep, even in his very early movies without a beard, he looked a little prissy. Some of us just really need facial hair.
  7. I agree, Major, I haven't seen all of his videos; but he does have a way of putting things in perspective.
  8. God Bless and Keep you Don, My prayers for you, your family, and a speedy recovery.
  9. Very good, but alas untrue.
  10. Thak you, QuietDan. I wasn't aware of this site.
  11.    Excellent idea.
  12. EXCELLENT!! Wife and the shirts, that is.
  13. Ya think a little alcohol and "Hey ya'll...watch iss" was involved?
  14.   Whoa...now let's just simmer down there fella. That's a mite pointed little remark. It might offend someone. Or make them..... wait for it.......   Uncomfortable.
  15. White Castle...the working man's friend...er laxative, that is.
  16. Sorry Steel, I thought I remembered you expressing an interest in the Tavor.
  17. With apologies to DaveTN for ammending his quote to this.   "As much as gun sales have become an issue to the Obama's and other Libi-Dems, I expect a few MORE people to be made examples of."
  18. Medium grip on the fullsize 45 for me.
  19. I think I'd go for the bullpup rather than the G22. JMO
  20. Well said, my buddy.   As for me, and this is very telling; I really don't have a true "this gun only" metality. There have been only a very few times that a firearm I acquire is one that I have specifically gone hunting for.   Oh, I've looked for individual items at times, but I believe the bulk of my buying has pretty much been the "target of opportunity type." If I run across something I like or want to trade for, I will fixate on it til some form of resolution occurs. I'll get lucky enough to buy or trade for it, or just leave it alone.   I think my search for the M&P Shield was probably on of the few times I actually spent time and effort to get a particular gun.   As for the Walther/CZ pistols. Sometimes I do regret selling my PPS 9, a little anyway. And the CZ I like best is my steelframe CZ75B.   It's heresey I know, but I almost like it better than my old battered, parkerized P35 HP.   I almost went after the CZ compact on here last week, but I knew someone else wanted it so I backed off. Maybe the next one will come to me.   Then, there's that Sig Blackwater Edition that pulls me toward it....
  21.   Yes, and I bet it would stop the man firing it as well.
  22. That's good to hear. Now as long as we don't see one listed for 2500+ on a sale site; maybe we can get back to some regular breathing in looking for and talking about AR rifles.
  23. Haven't had a beer in...gee, I don't know how long. Maybe that's what's wrong with me?
  24.   I believe you might be right in that assuption.     Huh? Ok, that might get me too.    But, after all the time spent getting the Glocks and the Walthers, I just can't believe you'd part with any of either one.   And now you're on the CZ train? Fickle, fickled old man. Soon you'll be as bad as me. :stunned:     Started out with Taurus, went to Springfields. Then into the Smith revolvers. (But must admit I'd been trying for them all along anyway, just couldn't afford them.) Got bit by Glocks. Then the 1911 virus hit me. From there it was all downhill. Sigs. Walthers. And now the M&P bacterium has attacked! Pray that no other gun bug rears its ugly head.
