  1. I wanted to put a 64 tag on my 64 wagon. I had the tag, they told me there was no such thing as a tag with 64 on it. Told me it was probably a reproduction plate and I couldn't use it. Took it in and showed them, they still said there was no plate ever issued in 64. My car has been running with a 64 plate now for about 4 years.
  2. If you want to go by the "rules" , you'll have to refer to the TN gov website to figure out which year plate you need if you're going to use it for a substitute for an antique plate. It's sorta of a convoluted mess. On the other hand police officers don't really spend much time checking antique car plates.
  3. I'll take the 10/22 trigger group if you'll ship in a small flat rate box on my dime.
  4. we have maybe 4, kinda hard to count. They spend a lot of time just chasing each other away. Just have one feeder up currently. I will usually put up a second feeder just around the corner of the house and a couple of birds have been checking this area out, so I'm guessing they were here last year.
  5. If you've ever seen any of the Bob Lazar interviews it does make one wonder. He is so believable.
  6. He's just trying to mark his territory before Gov. Lee's special session.
  7. I have a 2012 Tundra. Bought it with 38k and it's got 153k now. It's been good so far with nothing more than general maintenance required. Have had some issue with the front rotors warping. But I'm now faced with the 5.7 ltr cam tower leak. One side leaks down on the manifold and I smell it about every day. Haven't noticed it leaking enough to make a puddle yet. It's a known problem and not really a home repair job. Dealerships probably charge in the $2k+ to repair it. It's only a 2wd and I have really been needing a 4wd as 2wd trucks can get stuck in wet grass. But dang the prices are just nuts. I can't decide whether to trade it before it gets worse or fix it. A 0% interest program would be tempting.
  8. Remedy also works good for woody plants in combination with 2-4D. I upgraded from roundup to the Total Weed control. It seems to last a lot longer particularly for the driveway and my fence row.
  9. Maybe Lee will cancel the whole thing with this crap going on and the likely hood of anything like a red flag law he wants passing. Maybe just let it go until next session.
  10. Welcome! Congratulations on your successful escape.
  11. my Discover card was stolen about 2 months ago. Thief went to Walmart and charged 900 some dollars, then tried to charge 600 more, that's when I was sent an email. The 600 was declined. A few minutes later they filled up their tank at the Pilot station down the road from Walmart. I never go to that station so I know it was not me. Plus I was sitting on the couch when it happened. They are still investigating but have temporarily credited my account. I filed a police report and they came up with a photo of the culprit. A middle aged white guy wearing a mask, hat and all long sleeves. It will be interesting to see what Discover Card eventually does.
  12. I've always been fond of the CZ 52 pistol. I have a couple of them they really shoot great!
  13. I have a contender from way back that I seldom shoot. I had considered getting my 10" 7mm TCU barrel threaded and trying to work up some sub loads to see how it performed. If it worked well might have sbr potential.
  14. we have at least two. One of them must be from last year, we normally put up two feeders but only have one up currently. One bird keeps going to where the second feeder normally goes.
  15. If they decide to start taking back greenbacks, they might also find they may take some lead as well.
  16. I'm wondering how they would get greenbacks out of circulation?
  17. I have two of them and they are great shooting pistols. Sometimes the safety will kick on under recoil when it hits my thumb knuckle. They are pretty accurate as I can consistently make hits at 100 yds. The spent cases will fly 20+ feet! Wish the surplus ammo was still cheap. Bought a bunch at 10 cents a round, the guns were cheap back then too. I have one of the holsters attached to my tractor and it holds a KelTec PMR30 perfectly.
  18. reminds me of some of the old High Standard 22 revolvers.
  19. The Remingtons would't be too bad, those Colts, now that would be handful-- literally. Josey Wales does a hot swap in one of the scenes, and it's with a Remington.

    Cornbread

Lots of good recipes here. My mom always used about as much flour as she did cornmeal. One thing no one has mentioned is making fried up corn pones. They are tasty and are quick and easy to whip up. I do these a lot of times just because they only take a few minutes to prepare and cook.
  21. dang, I wish this were a larger frame size I've been looking for an ebike

    Cornbread

My mother almost always cooked her cornbread on the top of the stove in a cast iron skillet rather than in the oven. In summer it was too hot to turn the oven on and in general it cost more to heat the oven if cornbread is all you're cooking. she would cover the skillet for the first part of the cook, then use a dinner plate to slip under the half baked bread and quickly flip the bread over to cook on the other side leaving the lid off from this point on. Doing the flip is a bit tricky and I've never been able to master it. I know she always did it over the sink, just in case. The best thing about it was that you got two crunchy sides! The recipe on the back of the corn meal mix works fine if you leave out that damn sugar!
