  1. Sweet!  The wee-strom is an excellent do-it-all bike.
  2. Lawenforcementsalestn might be able to make one for you.
  3.     If you've never replaced the ballast, I'm surprised it still works at all.
  4. I've been on both sides of that coin.  My dog once bit a neighbor's dog.  The neighbor was walking her dog on a 30 ft lead and let it come into our yard.  My dog got it while still within the boundary of the "bury the wire" dog fence.  That dog required a couple stitches at my expense (as it should be).   A few years later, another neighbors dog bolted after mine and tore a nice gash in my dog.  My dog got about 12 stitches at their expense and the owner got a couple nice raspberries from being jerked to the concrete by the leash.      As for that dog...   If your dog was injured, I'd talk about that with the owner.  Else, I'd blast 'em with OC spray.  They usually learn pretty quick.              The state of TN has a leash law.  Dogs are not permitted to "run at large".
  5. I know a bit about circuits and soldering and try to fix stuff when it breaks, but that's about it.    I recently fixed an old "boom box" that had sat out on our porch for years.  One of the speakers quit working.  I took it apart and after some fiddling, discovered that the speaker worked fine when I bypassed the volume pot.  So I switched from electrician to mechanic and jammed a screwdriver in it and pried on it trying to get the volume pot apart.  Magically, it started working (yes, the power was on and I was listening to the radio from the other speaker the whole time).  So I put it back together and declared it "fixed".        However, I was unable to figure out why the wireless in our modem/router quit working.  I took that apart too and nothing appeared "blown" or otherwise damaged.  The whole board was quite pristine actually.  So I tossed it and bought a new one.  Win some, lose some.
  6. Cool.  Do that free hand or... ?
  7. Yep. I certainly don't go out of my way to look. Law says it's supposed to be prominently displayed on all entrances. I don't consider it my problem if it's not.
  8. Primary Arms makes good red dots at modest prices.... https://www.primaryarms.com/Primary-Arms-s/586.htm
  9. Depends on how the patent is written and whether the other makers can claim "prior art". If any of the others can show proof that they had a design before Crossbreed filed for the patent, they'd be able to keep right on going and there's nothing Crossbreed can do.
  10. All of them of course... I'd also need to buy some property on which to play with them and build a building in which to store them.
  11. Just don't bake it hotter than 300 deg. I'd stay around 250.
  12. Amen. And no, that's not one of the 4 letter words. ;)
  13. Your biggest issue is likely to be noise complaints from the neighbors.
  14. Check this out... https://autos.yahoo.com/blogs/motoramic/rare-sale-of-200-wwii-era-military-vehicles-offers-tanks-for-the-memories-135659950.html How about a SCUD? Anyone wanna loan me a couple million? I'll gladly repay it $1/day for the next couple million days. :)
  15. What do you mean by "heat treat"? As for the nicks... I'd mask off the lettering with some foil tape and go at them gently with Cratex stones or fine sand paper. I'm not sure you'll be able to fully remove them, but you should be able to blend them in so they're a lot less noticeable, particularly after being painted. They're so small that I don't think a filler like Bondo would be effective.
  16. I've never traded with guitar center, but a coworker has a couple times.  He got one screaming deal on an amp (Mesa triple-rec) once, but otherwise the deals have been average IMO.  Trading with them is like trading anywhere else... If they want what you got, you'll get a good deal.  If there's 1000 others just like what you have, you won't.
  17. Neither he nor mom called 911? Even after the guy was in the house?!?!
  18. It's an amp-hours thing.  1.2 amps x 7.5 hrs = 9 amp-hrs.  Using the 4 amp setting on your charger... 9/4 = 2.25 hrs.      Don't let it run on automatic, it'll start with it's 40 amp output and that'll cook the battery in a hurry.  Manually select the 4 amp setting.  Turn it on and leave it for 2 hrs.  Monitor the battery and make sure it's not getting too hot.  Set up a small fan and blow some air across it.  It'll get warm, but if it gets hot to the touch disconnect it.  Once the 2 hrs has passed, disconnect it and let the battery cool off.  Check the battery voltage, it should be 10-14V.  Reconnect the charger in auto float charging mode and let it do it's thing until it's fully charged.    Oh... and put the battery in a bucket or something just it case it cracks open and leaks.    And yes, I also recommend the little battery tenders. I have a battery tender jr. and it works great.
  19. The FAL is likely more reliable than a Saiga.... it's got an easily adjustable gas system for that specific reason. Check out "the legend of ol' dirty".... built a FAL, tossed it in the swamp (literally), drained the water out, and started shooting. 16,000 rounds and several years later it still works and has never been cleaned. http://www.falfiles.com/forums/showthread.php?t=68486
  20. Yes, the Barber museum is a must see.
  21. You realize that an M1A is basically a Garand with a detachable box magazine, right?
  22. You said "last battle rifle"....      There is no "last", there is only "next".
  23. I've been tempted to do that, but haven't due to fear of them getting my IP address.  Seems like any sort of response would open the flood gates.
  24. That's a Yugo and it looks to be in pretty good shape. Nice.
