  04 frontier bumper cover is going to be hard to find in a junk yard.  By there nature salvage yards have wrecked vehicles (bumper would be damaged) and vehicles that repair costs more than the value.  Those Nissans run great and there is probably not to many out there that have been sent to salvage yards yet.  

PULL-A-PART maintains an online list of all the vehicles in their yard. They do not have a parts breakdown, so that may or may not be useful to you. There site also has a decent interchangeable parts search.  What are you looking for.

The key to what i said is over penetration causing "additional danger."  Missing in a SD shooting are a frequent occurrence. The risks to bystanders comes primarily from those misses not over penetration.  The most recent survey i am aware of has hit rates for self defense shootings at a little over 50 percent (still well above the LE average).  The numbers of rounds fired in self defense shootings are all over the place, any where from one to well over 15 per instance.  Half of those rounds are missing the intended target.  In comparison i'm not that concerned about over penetration as a risk to bystanders.     Interesting anecdote-There is one famous encounter in which a man fired over a hundred rounds against multiple burglars.     Now if you want to include effectiveness in stopping the fight, then it is an entirely different conversation.  I simply stated that over penetration does not increase the danger 

Honestly, penetration causing additional danger is almost a non issue.  We seem to spend a lot of time asking what happens when that round travels through someone without ever asking what happens when you miss.  And if anyone thinks they will never miss in an adrenalin fueled encounter you are likely mistaken.     And again this ruling does not prevent anyone from owning or using HP rounds.  It prevents the selling of them within the city.  Realistically this ban is likely to only significantly impact one store.  It happens to be the only gun store left in San Francisco. 

Let me preface this by stating that i think this is a stupid law.   However, with that said, the law does not prohibit the possession of defensive ammunition. What it does is regulate what businesses in that city can sale.  Residents of the city are still able to purchase defensive ammunition outside of the city and bring it in.  People passing through can still possess the ammunition.     also, according to one of the articles i read, the city is going to have to create and maintain a list of all prohibited ammunition.  Good luck with that.  I bet Z max gets left off :)

Depends on the type of bike your riding.  For sport bikes a OWB  SOB holster works well and is comfortable.  I can't make a good recommendation for other types of bikes because i a haven't carried on them before.

I am an advocate for the o-ring around the pivot lug to remove wobble. Just as effective as the accuwedge or earplug but doesn't run any chances of getting foam or rubber running around loose in your trigger group.     That being said, the likeliness of having a chunk beak off and finding itself into you trigger in a way that would block operation is realistically insanely low.  Its one of those things that i do it because the way my luck runs. Murphy likes to kick me in the **** whenever he gets the chance.

What type of armorers wrench do you have.  Many of them have the tool that can tighten the jamb nut built in. 

I built mine to be my versatile do most things good enough gun.  It's short compact and packs a bigger punch than a pistol round.  It is built on a platform i am familiar with which makes it ideal for defensive use.  I built mine in 300 blackout, which though may not be the ideal man stopper or hunting round is plenty to get the job done.  Also, i have friends with good hunting land up in Indiana.  I can use a 300 blackout pistol to hunt in Indiana but not a rifle in the same caliber (they have some dumb laws).     I use a SB 15 brace so i get almost full SBR versatility without the tax stamp or the need to provide written notice anytime i choose to take it with me out of state.

I don't know that the ATF will go after them for the build parties, but they were served with a cease and desist order regarding the customers use of their "tools and knowledge". Ares Armor wrote about it in a news letter in Oct 2013.  If i were Ares Armor it would definitely be something i would be concerned with.  Eventually the ATF is going to try to do something to save face on confiscating all of these.  If they can show that the build parties in conjunction with the marked lower showed "substantial assistance" in building the firearm then they can prove that ares was in the business of manufacturing and distributing firearms.  The ATF has continuously held that the individual must build it themselves without "substantial assistance" (another one of those vague terms that the ATF defines any way they like).     http://aresarmor.com/store/NewsArticle/01November2013

There 80 percent lowers use a color plug in the fire control group.  There also have excess material sticking out at the trigger and hammer pin holes to mark where you need to drill.  Though a jig is still recommended, it is possible to accurate mill their receivers using only a drill press.     The issue is in how the lower is made.  Apparently the ATF Feels that since the plug is manufactured separate of the lower itself than at some point in its life the lower is in fact a firearm.  EP specifically designed their manufacturing process to try to alleviate this concern.  They make the blank first and then mold the rest of the 80 percent lower around it.    The plug is made out of a different polymer material that is substantially softer than the lower itself.  Though they do use wings to help secure the plug in place.    Also potentially at issue is the build parties hosted by ares armor where you could buy a plastic receiver, run it through a cnc mill on premises and viola unregistered lower.

There are several options available to you.   Preventing build up   take the light off, cover with tape, cover with a rubber cap, coat with grease, or coat with silicone     easier cleaning   Disassemble light and scrape with razor, use pencil eraser for cleaning the glass, green scotch brite pad,  polish the glass (smoother surface means less for carbon to stick to)

that's over 40 ft of drop with the published muzzle velocity.  Im not sure what the velocity would be out of that pistol barrel, but i am assuming there is a noticeable drop in velocity and therefore a noticeable increase in bullet drop.  so somewhere between a 41 ft and a 47 ft hold over with a lot of luck with the wind.  Heck of a shot.    

I'll be the last to say the MP corp is perfect, we have more than our fair share of idiots.  The vast majority try to do their best to look after Soldiers and not be a dick.  

Mixed feelings on this one, I could see where it could go either way.  Many older snow mobiles do not have a reverse, so he may not have been able to back out.   It looks like there may have been a path out of the area, but I don't know those woods that path may not have been passable to their machines.  There are a ton of what if's that could occur in this scenario, but without more information i'm not prepared to condemn the guy.

I still have issues with the whole separate status thing between law enforcement and the average joe citizen, but i may still take advantage of this.  Especially since the reserves gives me my annual qualification so i would not have to pay for it every year.  The reality is that if you do not travel to certain states the TN HCP is probably the better choice.  

It means Military Law Enforcement active and separated (with more than 10 years of service) will soon be capable of getting a recognized LEOSA ID card that would allow them to carry in all 50 sates.  Separated service members must still meet an annual qualification requirement, which can be done through the state they reside.

I know there is an old thread on here i started when the Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act was amended to include individuals with apprehension authority under the UCMJ.  This was back in January 2013.  At the time most figured it would be at least a year before DOD released a new DODI covering LEOSA implementation.  Well they finally have.    http://www.dtic.mil/whs/directives/corres/pdf/552512p.pdf   It was released earlier this month.  It repeatedly lists "DOD LEA" for a more complete list of what is considered DOD law enforcement you have to look in DODI 5505.17   http://www.dtic.mil/whs/directives/corres/pdf/550517p.pdf   Now it is a matter of individual service branches determining their method for ID card issue.  I know that USAMPS was working on determining an issuing system prior to the DODI being released, so it should not take long for the Army system to be implemented.  I believe the Air Force already has a system in place. I do not know about the status of the Navy/Marine Corp

You could call an FFL in that persons area and see if they would be willing to act as an escrow.  You send them payment in the form of MO or Cashiers check they hold it until he brings in gun to be shipped to you.     I think in this case it would also be reasonable for you to pay the FFL for their troubles

I should just mount a MK19 to my truck, cause nothing says self defense like a grenade machine gun.  :)
