  1. That's because it doesn't flare out on a gen 2. It bothers me in a gen 5 19 but not a gen 5 17. Digs right into my pinky.
  2. Brand new Smith & Wesson 340PD with a firing pin to short. It stuck out less than half the length of normal firing pin from a Smith. I couldn't see how it was even test fired.
  3. I love mine. It has a trigger reset as nice as a Legion. Not much bigger than a p220.
  4. Far less than a Microtech? Wow. I'd be in. It's sad that it could be the last one, but I've thoroughly enjoyed everything I've gotten from you. You have my support.
  5. I think the 2.0 feels like a better built pistol. The old ones always felt "cheap" to me. The new one feels like a step up in class. I'm also crazy impressed with my 45 Shield. They've really stepped it up in quality. It will be a long path to convert me from Glocks, but they are moving in the right direction.
  6. They probably shouldn't be teaching classes. I'm not sure which is worse, the government setting the standards or an individual going below it. Since it's the state's class, I'm actually probably with the state. And slides are generally expected be about a minute a slide. There are quite a few duplicates in there for some reason too. I think it was a good effort, but it needs to be polished. Seems like a first draft.
  7. Got mine today. Very happy! Although it seems plates are getting thinner and thinner.
  8. Single action means the trigger performs one action, releasing the action. As in a single action revolver, 1911, Hi Power, Sig p320, or Springfield XD. Double action means the trigger performs two actions, cocking and releasing. As in concealed hammer revolvers. Or Glock. Then you have striker fired vs hammer fired. I think those are even more self evident. I guess one could specify single action striker fired vs double action striker fired. That way you specify both the trigger and firing mechanisms.
  9. Do you prefer single action or double action? The Sig is single and the Smith is double. I like the Sig grip better. However, I'd be really careful holstering the Sig. The trigger is very nice. I could see it being potentially dangerous if something got caught.
  10. Thank you. I knew you could point me straight to it. It's hard to search on a cellphone.
  11. I've read that you can't have it on your person in a vehicle without a permit. Do you have a link to the actual code?

    Sig 226 or?

The trigger reset on the Legions are fantastic if you care about reset. It's as good as the old 3rd gen Smith & Wesson guns. And that's saying something.
  13. I had to order it. If you're local, you can take a look at mine.
  14. Curse you. This thread made me purchase a Cimmaron Model P in 4-5/8". And I love it. It'll have a twin some day.

    Sig 226 or?

I'd pick a Sig hands down. Much easier to find parts for and work on. If it's just a range toy, then I'd pick a Witness Elite Match over a CZ. Better trigger and better reset out of the box.
  16. I've owned both and kept the Glock 43. Both are fine guns, but I like the Glock better. It's a simpler and more reliable design. The Glock is far easier to fully disassemble.
  17. What safety does Sig offer that Glock doesn't?
  18. I can answer that soon. I ordered an IWB holster for it. Should be here soon.
  19. I've got one. It shoots great. It soaks up the recoil way better than I expected. I think it is leaps and bounds better than an XDs in my opinion. The aggressive pattern is just enough without being harsh. Everyone that has shot it has been amazed. I'm not the biggest S&W semi auto fan, but the Shield line is extremely nice.
  20. It sure is awfully far forward. Lot of guns have removable fire control groups that aren't modular. I would think it more likely if the serial number was further back. If you are correct, then I hope their pricing is better than SIG's.
