Not sure what travel has to do with Covid, but had my 1st shot at VA in the 'boro. No problems, never felt the shot, not sore, back for #2 , Feb. 22.

I'm certainly no expert on this, never tried it, etc. From what I see, hear, read, it is well oversaturated. Seems to be a stand on every corner, roadside, store, online. Just my $.02

I wore Levis for years, but as Greg said, the price kept going up & the quality taking a nose dive. Ended up going to Wrangler, priced reasonable, fit, not too bad. And yes, I'm cheap as well.

I'm not that familiar with the stores inner workings, as to revenue. I do know the gunsmith charges $200 / hr. Don't recall about transfer costs. I doubt they could survive long with only those 2 sources of revenue. Small store, small town. Other stores in town also.

I got an email this am from Lebanon Gun Store, advising that they are closing temporarily, until the y can get in more product. They will still take appts. for gunsmith, and transfers. Sign of the times, as they say.

area-nashville Lebanon gun show Jan 16 & 17. 2021

Forgot about this, till this am. See a couple of dealers that had broken down boxes of ammo. & repackaged in small brown paper bags, 10 rds ea. People grabbing ammo, like water in a disaster zone. Another show next month. Might want to camp out ahead a few days, if you wanna get in. Just saying...... -

Yep, it was, I didn't exaggerate the prices. I was expecting to see that, but still sticker shock to actually see it on a price sticker. -
Made the trek to the show this am. The crowd was unbelievable. By far the largest I've seen there. Prices? As expected, thru the roof. Saw one box of hunting ammo, box of 20, $80.00. Other ammo ran pretty much in the same track. One dealer had numerous cases of assort. ammo, priced on the roof, people lined up to buy, apparently at any price. Folks, it's going to be a long time before this changes. There was still long lines waiting to get in.

You can use whatever term you like. Fact is several time they have nearly gone belly up, and the Gov. had to " add money to their acct". Does that sound better, same thing. It's no secret. You'd argue with a stump.
-
Free choice. I'm just fed up with the inefficiency & gov. bailouts.

Woohoo idiot Confederate Flag carrier not from south!

He has a right to carry that flag there. He was in jail for rioting, not a Rebel yell. -

Why does carrying a Confederate flag make him an idiot? -
E4, I totally agree. Their tracking system is as useless as teats on a boar hog. I'll say it again, I long for the day when they shut USPS down & let it go private. BTW, it doesn't matter how much cheaper USPS is, if don't arrive when it's supposed to.

Same here. Mine never ends. For years...........

Possibly bond recovery. They dress pretty wild sometimes.
-
A bit surprised, but mine was in the bank this am. $600. That'll go about as far as my truck on a quart of gas.
-
Nothing wrong with that. They just don't interchange. That's why I shied away from it, I already had brass & set up for the standard size. Crank 'er up & go with it. Have fun! Enjoy that 45/70, I do my Henry.
-
I agree. Ammo price & availability, would be my choice. JMHO

Something you have to get used to. Punch it a bit cornering. it wants to lock up, and chirp the tires. The guy that installed it, said , you'll love it off road & hate it on road. Cornering wasn't that bad, just have to get used to it. I didn't see it as a problem. I traded it back in the 80s. Sometimes I wish for it back.

Agree, Greg. Like the Bronc, not the price. I had a '78 Bronco, Detroit Locker in back, Detroit TruTrac in front. Absolute beast. 10 mph tho. Not an everyday driver.

I used Warne Maxima rings on my Henry 45/70. The come in 3 different heights.

Some like the FTX stuff. Some hate it. Never tried it due to the length of their brass. I bought a box of Federal Fusion for my Henry. It shot all over the paper. Been loading my own ever since, with nice results.
