Years ago, back in the 70's, early 80's, I would get the flu ( sick in bed, couldn't get up or feed my self, flu ). Felt like someone had taken burlap I rubbed my shin raw all over. After I started taking the flu shot every year, no more flu. I get mine at the VA as soon as it comes available. Hopefully get one Fri. as I have an appt. anyway.

Your favorite press? (Non progressive)

The jaws do have to be changed ( or reversed ), depending on the cartridge. This doesn't happen with every cartridge, many use the same jaws. I did have to buy an extra set for the 45/70. The rest, fits anything I have encountered. You can use any die you like, but will want Forster rings. I did buy Forster precision dies for a .308. Personal choice, not necessarily required. Like anything else, some swear by Ford, some Chevy. Go with what suits you. Personally, I wish I had ran across the Co-Ax years ago. Might have added a few years to my life span, LOL. -
Looked it up, Holosun is made in China.

LOL, well, I saw that after I enlarged it. Reason I asked, was because of recoil vs, plastic wire ties.

Curiosity. What caliber rifle is this?

It took quite a while here, too. Getting grant work done ( you know how Gov. things go), then holding neighborhood meetings to explain the system & process. After I signed up the next day, it took about a year, before actual installation. Everything had to start from scratch. Cables run, in a rural area. After all was done, it was worth the wait. Hang in there, it's a long, but methodical process.

Doug, I told AT&T to take a hike decades ago. They are NOT consumer friendly, couldn't care less about the customer. Went with Verizon for a while. Now the local electric service ( Tri-County Electric ), has, thru a grant, installed fiber optic in some rural areas. Unlimited data, faster speeds, half the price of Verizon. So far, no issues at all.

As they say, " a fool & his money are soon parted ". -
I have a Walther PPS M2 w/ RSMc red dot. It works for me . I carry it everyday. Also, I have Mepro night sights as well. The RSMC will co-witness with the irons. So you can see both, day or night. Not a problem. From what I've read & heard, the Holosun would be a better choice than the RSMc. If my fails, I'm going with the 407K, which has the same footprint as the RSMC. Red dots are here to stay, like it or not. I heard a similar argument years ago when radial tires first came out. We know how that turned out.

Well, the gun show has not been canceled. Don't know what was up with the sign deal. I went this AM, Decent crowd, the usual fare of guns, knives, flea mkt stuff. Didn't see alot of folks walking around buy/sell/trading. I got there at 9, left about 10. Bought nothing. Masks are requires, Wilson Co. mandate. Didn't see anyone without one. Didn't have any issues.
-
Just checked R K Shows site, the Lebanon show is still on, but "masks required". FWIW

Lowes has a 20 ft, with flag for around $130. metal is thin, & won't hold up in strong wind with the flag attached. Speaking from experience.

Lee has a 4 die set with the carbide die included......if you an find them. Been using mine for years. They are not expensive & as good as anybody's, IMHO. Be sure to follow the setup directions for carbide, when screwing against the ram. It can crack if you set it too tight.

Speaking for myself, only, the 407K is the only one I know of that fits the footprint on my Wather PPS M2. It now has the Shield RSMc, which I recently got back from warranty ( took months ). As long as the Shield is working ok, I'll stick with it. If it goes belly up again, I will go with the 407 K. So, that's my reason, others, don't know. Hope that helped.
-
Just checked Kenzies' website. The 407K has been moved to August, back orders due Sept. Hope no one has been holding their breath, tho purple does look good on some people, LOL.
-
I finally got my RSMc back from Shieldsights. They sent a new one, which is working fine now, so far. If it fails again, I'm going to look at the 407k for a replacement, as it fits the footprint, with mods having to be made to the 4 mounting posts. Not a major thing. Thing is, Holosun keeps moving the release date up. Time will tell.

Hi power, Walther's C S has usually been good. I have no explanation for the above issue. I would love to get my paws on one of these I'll fitting plates & see why it wouldn't & why it couldn't be corrected. Guess we'll never know. I don't know if this was made in house, or outsourced. Oh, well......
-
Dennis, this may not be your situation, but, originally the PPS M2 RSMc, came with a plate, to replace the unit, if you chose to remove it for whatever reason. They stopped supplying it, including mine. I asked Walther about it, response was, because it never fit correctly . To me, this makes no sense. I worked in tool & die 15 yrs, and it would be easy to correct. That "may " be what happened with yours.
-
Wasn't aware of that, but makes sense now that I gave it some thought. They don't work well with iron sights either. I may go back to the old next time around . Thanks for the heads up.

There is one scheduled for Aug. In Lebanon,Tn , but under current circumstances, guess that's speculation as well. I agree, that will be one heck of a line. Last one at the 'boro was also. And, yeah, I'd probably go. LOL -
When I was loading 223, I used CFE 223. Worked for me. Meters well too.

Where do you buy your reloading supplies?
Grunt67 replied to enfield's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
Re: the attitude, etc. of clerks at Reloaders Bench. I had not seen much of that until lately, which I can't explain. Partly depends on the person you're dealing with. Seems like, since the Corona thing, they rather you didn't show up. Since I don't go to socialize, it doesn't really matter to me. I usually take care of myself. I go in get what I want, if it's there, pay & go. Mainly, on primers, powder, no Hazmat fee . Other than that. online.
