I bought a Henry H010 45/70 carbine back in Feb. Love it. Kicks like a Missouri mule. Been reloading Hornady 300 gr JHP. Shoots very accurate. Lately, Henry has discontinued this model, replaced by the side gate model. Glad I got it when I did, not that fond of a side gate. It does still have the tube also. So you can use either. It's found a home.

Yep! Being gut shot is a terrible way to die.

FWIW, I have a Walther PPS M2 RSMc, mounted at the Walther factory. Advertised to have a battery life of 2 to 3 yrs. The LED went out, had to be returned for repair/ replacement, during Covid. These are made in the UK. After a few months it was replaced. Battery life on neither lasts more than one month. The unit has to be removed to replace the battery, ( which I can pretty much do with my eyes shut, due to experience). When this unit finally goes belly up again, I'm going to replace it with the Holosun 407K, which is cheaper, and better. Just food for thought.

I hear that a lot. Hate that. If it's not a question, don't put a ? at the end.

Shipping ( cost ), mostly has always been an issue. But I ordered a Caldwell chronograph from them Sat. Should be here this week. Midsouth had the same for $50 more. Shipping cost aside, they usually ship quick.

I saw a video similar to this year's ago, but this one is much better. I had the first gen. M16 in 'Nam, 1967. There was no 3 shot burst then. You could empty a 20 rd. mag in a heartbeat. Wasted ammo. I rarely used it. Ammo was hard to come by, you did not want to run out in a firefight. Full auto had a tendency to climb up & to the right. You could fire semi & stay on target better. Not necessarily the good old days.

area-nashville Lebanon gun show tomorrow
Grunt67 replied to Grunt67's topic in Events and Gatherings
Went to the show for a while, this am. Huge crowd, lots of gun buyers, large crowds waiting to make a purchase. Prices seemed to be their already high self. Left with my small amount of money in my pocket. Will edit to add this. One dealer had a lot of military ammo, armor piercing rounds for 5.56, 9mm, 30 cal, M16 parts, etc. Can't recall ever seeing that before. -

Walmart in Lebanon pulled theirs too, but came back 2 days later. Go figure. -

Yep! No way around it that I've ever found. Throw light & trickle. -
I was in Academy in Mt.Juliet Sat. afternoon. shelves were empty, maybe 6 or 8 boxes of looked like hunting caliber. They may have some behind the counter for gun sales, IDK. Zero reloading of any kind.

FWIW, RK Shows will be back in Lebanon this Sat/Sun Nov. 7 & 8. Nov.7, is my birthday, so, if anyone wants to meet me at the gun show & buy me a gun, I'll go along with it. Just saying.............LOL -
I have a Forster Co-ax press I've had a few yrs. Best move I've made. Any die will work fine, but you will need to use the Forster lock rings. I gave $300 for mine. You'll love it, congrats, & good luck on your hunt.

Just a side note, FWIW, RK Shows do not have anything scheduled for the 'boro the rest of the year, just Lebanon in this area. -

Show is better than the old shows years ago, which were useless as tits on a boat hog. Much better mix of the sexes & ages. Still have some of the usual non-gun junk. Some place to go when you've got nothing better to do. -

Makes me want to rush out & buy an AR-15, just to take advantage of this great offer! NOT!! -
RK shows back in Lebanon tomorrow & Sun. Anyone going? Guess I'll give it a look, just for the heck of it.

Covid or not, it & the Cobra are grossly overpriced. I'll pass.

Looks like a good site. I'll have to check it out further. Thanks

Seeking Advice On Where to Automobiles For Sale By Owner
Grunt67 replied to quedz's topic in General Chat
I've used LSN, it's based in Cookeville. Sold my Mustang there. Used truck prices are thru the roof. -
They had guns, I didn't look that close, because I wasn't looking for one. I'd give them a call before I traveled very far.

Didn't really know where I should put this, so just stuck it here. Went in Buds Tues, on the way to Pigeon Forge. Lot of empty space. Seems to have several guns, but gear was sorely lacking. Lots of Kiosk like displays, but sparsely stocked. Not what I last saw last year. Sign of the times, I guess.
