  1.  Planning on being there around midday Sat. Got a Winchester Mod. 70 30-06 I want to sell. Great shape, just have my  eye on something else.  Murf. is usually a great show.
  2.    I'd say you're right.
  3. Never watched the DD show, don't duck hunt or own a duck call. Don't care for the so called " reality" shows, as they aren't close to real. Heck, everybody has an AR niche, so why not. No doubt, it rubbed salt in A&Es wounds, as well as the other Libs. LOL More power to 'em if they can make a dollar from it. Surprised PETA hasn't jumped on the band wagon about killing poor little innocent ducks. World's a strange place these days.
  4.    +10.........Don't bother.
  5.    Nothing really wrong with it, just never had really liked it, personal preference, I suppose.  Always preferred Remington + the ex gave it to me one year for Christmas LOL.
  6.  Ford....nuff said.
  7.  According to what I've read ( can't remember where exactly ), the 700 bases fit, and there is a base specific for the 783 also. So should be no problem there. I have a Simmons scope on the Mod. 70, that I'm just not particulary fond of, may let it go with the rifle & start from scratch. Seems like the eye relief doesn't work for my eyes/glasses. We'll see how the mindset is down the road.    That's not a bad price BTW...thks.
  8. I read an article on this in Amer. Rifleman. Rifle was designed from the ground up. They did take these features from Savage, and tho it's not the prettiest rifle on the rack, it does what it was intended to do... Function, accurate, reliable, low cost. List is $451, drilled & tapped, no sights. Guess I'm going to wrap my hands around one.
  9.  Thanks, that's the kind of reviews I've been reading elsewhere in the mags, etc. Thinking of selling my old Mod. 70  30-06,  after deer season ends, and buying one for next year.
  10.  Been reading about Rem. new offering, sounds great, haven't got my hands on one yet.  Anyone had any experience with one?
  11. Same one I carry, Walther PPQ 40, nite sights.
  12. Never watched the show, but the guy has a right to speak his mind, which just happened to be true, IMHO, A&E needs him worse than he needs A&E. Liberal rides again........
  13.  Good vid. Lot of schrapnel.
  14.    Same here. Bought mine to use & maintain as needed.
  15.  Unless there's been a major improvement, it's not worth the walk across the parking lot. Worse than Goodman's show last time I went.
  16.    If you don't really need anything, it's an excellent time to go.
  17.  Planning on going. Personally, I don't see much difference between H'ville & M'boro shows. Mostly personal  preference & how that particular day went for someone.  Don't really need anything either, just like to fondle the goods. LOL
  18.    My experience as well. Shipping times were great. Shipping costs are over the top.  As another poster said, wait, if you can, and get a larger order together to spread  the costs out.  Ex: I started to order 2 boxes of 16ga. shotgun shells. Shipping was going to be $18+.  Forgot about it.
  19.               :bowrofl:
  20.  Went early Sat. am. A bit disappointed in the show overall. Gun to junk ratio seems to keep going down. Couple of  empty tables, and a big empty spot in one isle. M'boro is still head & shoulders above Nashville. ( not hard to do )  I realize the junk rents tables/ helps pay their bills...but, if they're going to drop this crap in the show, reduce the price  of admission to $8 or less. You can see the same junk for free at a flea mkt.  JMHO
  21.  Doors open @ 9AM tomorrow. I'm as excited as a kid on Christmas Eve.    OK, just kiddin'
  22. Mac, I'll have to agree with his point, at least in general. When you give Gov. control over any part of your life, you're going to lose something in exchange. Just how much are you willing to lose?
  23.  This in no way falls under the category of bullying. It is the defenses' job to stop the offense from scoring. If you can't  do that, get better or try another sport.  Whinny butt!
  24.  The way the U.S. Gov. treated the Native Americans was/is disgraceful. In all fairness tho, they treat the  rest of the population the same way.
  25.  Do away with the requirement of background checks for HCP holders to buy a gun. We've already been thru  that once. No need to do it again. Yeah, I know, the State wants the $10. Still a double tax.  I'll agree with another post, we shouldn't need a permit at all.
