I just just a World War II M1 Carbine. Would like to know more about care for it and shooting it. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Likely going to take it completely down, clean and oil it up first.

I gave my 20 ga Mossberg mdl 500 youth mdl home defender to my grandson to rabbit, bird, and squirrel hunt with. It had the 18 1/2 brl. I ordered a 26" brl and 3 choke tubes for it yesterday. The brl was on sale for 175.00 and the choke tubes were 22.00 each. His dad and he hunts on a friends farm around Mt Pleasant South Carolina. He has shot cotton tail, swamp rabbit, and squirrel with the gun so far. He loves to hunt and spend time with his dad. I still remember going hunting, with my dad, around Mt Sterling and Camargo KY when we lived in the Blue Grass State. That is where I was born and lived until I took my senior trip(Vietnam in 67-68). Tet in 68 was lively. Still having many problems from my visit there. My grandson Parker is a hunter at heart. He always want to shoot guns when he comes to visit. Really likes it and is a fair shot for a boy of 9. I started hunting myself when I was 8. I am glad his dad takes time to take him hunting and fishing. Those are memories he will remember for life. I know I sure have. I could have added a few dollars to the cost, and purchased a new one, but he has a versatile gun that will last him for life. Just maybe they won't ban it, in his lifetime, however it holds 6 rounds without the plug. The shot gun was brand new except I did pattern it a couple of times with some different ammo. I used it for a house gun. Still got its big brother the 12 ga.

Hey guys, just wondering if anyone has any experience with these. My dad is wanting one. Seems like it would be pretty cool. I like how you can control the pressure. Also, can anyone recommend a good compressor? https://www.pyramydair.com/s/m/Seneca_Sumatra_2500_500cc_Reservoir/1077 Thanks in advance!

Why do I need an AK-47? It's a pretty simple question, really. I think I want one, but I am not really sure why. I have always owned AR platform rifles. All of my gear is for the AR platform. I have been tempted by the AK many times over the years but never dipped my toes into those waters. I have only shot a handful of them over the past two decades. But, again, I think that maybe I want one. Like a lot of folks, I was ready to buy one last October as we ran up toward the election, but then I breathed a sigh of relief when Hillary was kept out of office. Talk me into or out of this.

Looks like AIM Surplus has an ample supply of the excellent Hungarian 20-round AK mags. Great mags that I’ve managed to acquire a few of over the years. Yeah, the price is a little high but not outrageous based on past prices and availability. These simply are not seen too often anymore. https://www.aimsurplus.com/product.aspx?item=MAK47H20&name=Hungarian+AMD-65+20rd+Steel+7.62x39+AK47+Magazine&groupid=15

Asking for a friend. He's close to the Armory. Another option is to transfer one in from PSA. That's where he bought his parts. So, if you can recommend somebody with reasonable transfer fee, he can do that.

https://www.cdnnsports.com/turnbull-tar40-308.html#.WoszaudG2M9 At this price, I am somewhat tempted.

I was walking around in academy and seen the price and couldn't pass it up 229 for a savage stevens 320, now i just need to do some small modifications, then it's gonna be range fun and hunting fun

Figured long guns section may get more traffic than under the NFA section. Saw this earlier, from Franklin Armory. 11.5" AR with stock that is not a NFA SBR. This isn't posted under news on the Franklin Armory website and only a few other websites are reporting it. Will be interesting to see what comes of this. https://www.gunsamerica.com/blog/franklin-armory-introduce-non-nfa-11-5-inch-ar-pattern-firearm/

For those of you not over at our sister site. I posted it there too. Kinda cool, but maybe just a reach to keep sales price up on some of their rifles. https://www.brownells.com/.aspx/bap...5Y2pORjVHMVd1YUlcL2p1bDdzbnY5UUV0WmdKUVN1TyJ9

Ugly as sin but I might have to take a closer look I do like some of the features of it. Take down, threaded barrel, trigger parts interchangeable with 10/22 but god, it's ugly https://ruger.com/products/pcCarbine/models.html

Who in the Nashville-Smyrna-Murfreesboro area has the best prices on the Mossberg Shockwave 12-gauge? On Target had them at $349 briefly, but not any more. I see you can get them for around $310 online but when you add in shipping and transfer fees, it's almost $349. I'd be willing to pay a little more to be able to see the gun before buying and to support a local business. Thanks, Whisper

Hey guys and gals, I'm looking for a rifle range in East TN that offers shooting at longer distances. I'm not currently a member at any range or club. I know ORSA has 1,000 yard there, but my weekends are filled with work and I would never be able to meet there high power team requirements. I'm looking for somewhere to go shoot during week days that is further than 200 yards. I have looked at Tac2 in Greenville on their website and they show a 600 yard range but I've never spoken with anyone that has been there. Anyone know of any other ranges that offer longer distances? Or have any advice/thoughts? Finally got the rifle setup (Rem 700 AAC-SD in 308, MDT LSS chassis, Timmey trigger) and will but upgrading the scope once I have somewhere that goes beyond 200 yards. Currently it wears a Bushnell Elite 3200 fixed 10x and that does fine at the 200 yard berm...for now.

May start a war but which would be the better buy? A Winchester model 94 in 30-30 from 1973 or a Marlin 30-30as which is the lower end version? I have a chance to get either not both.

So what are your guys experience with different brands/types of AK mags? Magpul, surplus, bakelite, Tapco, ProMag? Which gets you the best bang for the buck?

Been looking at picking up an AK and Century Arms is doing a $100 rebate on several models. I know they are not top shelf, but has anyone owned one? What are you opinions on it if you have. Thanks

What's the going price on these? In 9mm.

Kalashnikov USA has announced that they are rolling out a new semi-auto AK based shotgun, made in Pompano Beach FL, this year, long with the ubiquitous AK47 based rifle. Looks like they will have several variants including a flattop. MSRP on the shottie looks like it will be around $750. http://money.cnn.com/2017/01/19/news/companies/kalashnikov-usa-guns/

After the M1 carbine went down, my current confidence level for use as for HD / PDW dropped considerably. Until I re-commit to testing after fixing, I want to mount my Burris FF3 on my M&P Sport II. Standard fixed front sight with flip-up rear. Height to co-witness? Thanks as always for your collective help and guidance!

I found what I want for Christmas in the Beretta room at Basspro. Third from the left

Remington has released a line of six 870 shotguns that accept detachable box magazines, including the TAC-14. The factory mags are 6 rounds. The magwell is just kinda bolted on but it's interesting to see this factory option. https://www.remington.com/search/shotguns?productfamily=485&cartridge=All&barrellength=All&barreltype=All&stockmaterial=All&stockfinish=All&additionaloptions=All&passion=All https://www.remington.com/other-products/tac-14-dm
