Withdrawn S&W 28-3 6"

Recommended Posts

Howdy y'all,

S&W 28-3 Highway Patrolman. It was carried regularly years back, has been shot a bunch & is definitely shooter grade. Turn line, some holster wear along the barrel & frame but the lock up is spot on & it shoots and shoots and shoots. If anyone's looking for a N frame 357 to take out and shoot all day long, here you go. No box but I do have an extra set of Altamont grips for it & speed loader or two.

$700

⚠️ Safety Reminder for Buyers and Sellers ⚠️

This is an automatic reply meant to protect you as a buyer and a seller on TGO.

  • Use the Buyer/Seller Feedback feature to research who you are dealing with.   Please come back and leave feedback for each other after the transaction is complete.  Your experience will help others.

  • Never agree to use an electronic form of payment to buy or sell a gun!  None of the electronic payment services will protect you against fraud in a firearms transaction.  They all have terms of service FORBIDDING the use of their services to buy/sell guns.  DON'T DO IT.

  • Be very wary of anyone who insists on brokering a deal in private or outside of TGO.  Scammers almost always prefer to operate out of the public eye.

Man, that is a great price on a great old Smith. They don't make any more of those, if you get one now, it's got a lock on it that can fail, full of MIM parts and not near the finish quality of these old gems. Why don't I jump on it then? I HAVE one, and if I had to sell it, there would be a "1" in front of that $700!  IMG_6334s.JPG.f4aa8a9651a6e764e48e7a29240f87d5.JPG

I have one of the model 28.  It is my first pistol and was a sock drawer gun for many years.  Use to shoot it years ago before my modest collection grew.  Still have the box, cleaning rod, and even the wax paper it was wrapped in.

It truly is a great firearm.  I would not take $700 for mine.

The 27 & 28's really such a pleasure but I don't shoot it much anymore & had my eye on something new. Surprised there were no takers - guess I'll take it out for a spin again. Sounds like you've got an awesome old pistol, too.
