I am not sure there is much anything I like that has come from memphis other than burgers cooked in 100 year old grease :D

Gotta love some Dyers. You just put me in the mood for a Filthy Diablo, 3 3oz patties 3 slices of cheese and 6 ounces of kielbasa in a toasted bun that was floated on the grease. They ought to throw in an angioplasty as a side with that thing, but they don't so I guess I will have fried pickles instead.

I like the Varsity and Vertigo in Little Five Points in Atlanta. Varsity for the grease burger, and Vertigo for the "DAMN!!! That's a BURGER?"

white castles are actually good. Krystals have way too much bun. It is like eating a dough burger. If the Krystal bun was a LOT thinner it would be better. White Castles have that steamed in flavor fo the onion which gives it a big advantage over the bland krystal. I never heard White Castles called sliders until we lived up near Chicago.

Mochalattefrappawhoozitspressochino's is hilarious. I do like espresso, real honest to God espresso. No reason to drink fifteen cups of coffee when one little one will do the trick. If your last name ended in a vowel, you'd probably like them as well.

When it comes to food, I love Italian food, and I'm not talking about the bologna alfredo they serve at the Olive Garden. ;)

My mother's side of the family had their house pushed up to a few thousand feet by the Appalachian Mountains when the mountains decided to rise up out of the earth. My many times removed great grandfather Old Rivers was mad when his flat fields turned into cliffs and valleys. Breakfast on that side of the family is the best. Big cathead biscuits, gravy that you can cut and serve like pie, eggs over medium cooked in sausage grease, sausage, milk, OJ, bacon that's almost a 1/4" thick, steak, hotcakes, molasses, taters, fresh fruit (no idea why ;)), apple turnovers, and on and on.

Mom picked up on how to cook Italian food and country food like a champ...and she caters now, which is why I have such a fine athletic figure. Dang, hungry again....:)

I'd love to get some real Italian food. Sounds like your family really knows how breakfast should be fixed, since your mother caters can we expect that y'all will be providing breakfast at the annual TGO meet in October? :D

I can't hardly eat that tomatoey thick Wendy's like chili. I am not a very big fan of tomatoes anyway. So basically any food that is red can go away. Cincinnati chili is brown, actually there is chocolate in it among other delicious ingrediants.

Can't do coffee, I can't get past the nasty stale burnt smell of the stuff. Always hated how it smelled in out house every morning. Seriously I dunno how you all drink it.

Yep gotta love the hills and mountains here. They are why we chose this place when we bailed from south Florida

Chili doesn't have to be tomatoey, but it needs to be thick. Lots of meat, and beans. As for the coffee, well...have you tried coffee with chickory? It's a bit of a different flavor, and doesn't smell burnt.

If you ever get to Knoxville, give me a heads up and I'll get you a dish of something to take with you. A breakfast like that at the TGO meet will have everyone snoring by noon. ;)

TN has more skunks than anywhere in the world. I'm convinced of it. They were trying to breed or something in my back yard one night and stunk up the whole neighborhood. Made my eyes water.

I get to smell skunk at least once a week.:)

I caught one in a live trap once by my trash cans - smart move that was. :)
