I refuse to fly because of the security too.

I know that we do need some security and agree that it's gone way too far.....but the answer is not profiling!

There are several reasons for this.

1) We are not Israel and that is not what this country stands for.

2) Brown people are not the only ones that can harm us.

3) If we allow profiling for this then what's to stop the Government from profiling us too? A lot of people in this country are scared to death of gun owning Republican nut-cases...

The TSA courtesy of the Federal Government has removed most of your “rights” (…read that your rights, my rights, Muslim rights, on and on … when you buy an airline ticket; and they have said exactly that to folks who objected their procedures…). There, in fact, is not “double standard; there is a “stupid standard”. This standard purports to pronounce that all are equally suspect. That simply aint true and anyone that takes a few minutes to think about it knows this truth. The fact is that white catholic nuns, little old blue haired ladies, and white Caucasian three year olds wagging teddy bears from that multi-cultural bastion and multi-ethnic melting pot of Chattanooga, TN aint very likely to be potential terrorists.

I say that anyone with a foolish (…or insidious…) agenda can play the “racist” card. It is an old time “cottage industry” in the black community in this country and is becoming one in the muslim community. It an old, tired, trite ploy that works on the childish and those who are not sure of who they are and what they believe. It is laughable to me that folks would actually be afraid of being called a “racist” by a bunch of either misguided children (…or thugs…) shouting catcalls of “racism” while wrapping themselves in the very flag they loathe, all the while purporting equal treatment for all. It is the “theatre of the absurd”; but that is what some of us (…luckily not all…)have become. Where, I say, is the “equal treatment for all” in the muslim lands and in the thug dictatorships that most of the folks that are, in fact, a danger to this country hail from? You know the answer to that very well; there aint any. On a personal basis, I could care less about whether you think I’m a racist or not, and no one else should care either. It’s high time that the adults took the asylum back over with regard to this grotesque and detestable malarkey.

You may want to check this out; but I am pretty certain that middle eastern young men brought down the Twin Towers. They were muslim, not Christian.

RE: “Lame excuses”. I say that most any responsible exception to your speech will be most likely graded as a “lame excuse”, “racist” or “ignorant” because these answers do not fit your world view. I’m old enough and adult enough to where that doesn’t bother me too much. You can feed the platidunous speeches to those who are kind enough to politely listen to them, but they won’t work on me.

How’s that for an answer?

And just because I'm a realist doesn't make me a racist. Any religion or idealist group will have extremists, that's true. It seems though, that people who are too ignorant to actually see the world for what it is always yell racism. Unless of course it's a white man. Like calling everyone in the South a redneck is OK, but heaven forbid anyone suggest we make a Muslim in a hijab go through a search. Or we say that in a metro area blacks are responsible for most of the crime.

You can call it racist and make yourself feel better that you're progressive and above the rest of us, but you're not. You're simply ignorant of the facts. Why don't you find a deployed service member and ask them what Muslims think of us over in Iraq or Afghanistan. Why don't you find a Nashville, Knoxville, or Memphis cop and ask them who commits the majority of crime in those areas? Get over yourself.

Last Thursday I was flying to LA on the Midnight flight. I went through security my usual sour stuff. I beeped, of course, and was shuttled to the "toss-em" line. A security guy came over. I assumed the position. I had a button up shirt on that was untucked. He reached around while he was behind me and grabbed around my front pocket. I guess he was going for my flashlight, but the area could have loosely been called "crotch." I said, "You have to ask me before you touch me or it's assault."

He said, "Once you cross that line, I can do whatever I want."

I said that wasn't true. I say that I have the option of saying no and not flying. He said, "Are you going to let me search you, or do I just throw you out?"

I said, "Finish up, and then call the police please."

When he was finished with my shoes, he said, "Okay, you can go."

I said, "I'd like to see your supervisor and I'd like LVPD to come here as well. I was assaulted by you."

He said, "You're free to go, there's no problem."

I said, "I have a problem, please send someone over." They sent a guy over and I said that I'd like to register a complaint. I insisted on his name and badge number. I filled it out with my name. The supervisor, I think trying to intimidate me, asked for my license, and I gave it to him happily as he wrote down information. I kept saying, "Please get the police," and they kept saying, "You're free to go, we don't need the police." I insisted and they got a higher up, female, supervisor. I was polite, cold, and a little funny. "Anyone is welcome to grab my crotch, I don't require dinner and a movie, just ask me. Is that asking too much? You wanna grab my crotch, please ask. Does that seem like a crazy person to you?" I had about 4 of them standing around. Finally Metro PD shows up. It's really interesting. First of all, the cop is a BIG P&T fan and that ain't hurting. Second, I get the vibe that he is WAY sick of these federal leather-sniffers. He has that vibe that real cops have toward renta-cops. This is working WAY to my advantage, so I play it.

The bolded portion especially pisses me off. It is jackholes like you that bow down and cower when tyrants come to rule all because they promise safety.
