TNT's SouthLAnd?

Just curious if there were any other SouthLAnd fans here? It started out on NBC, got canceled after 1 season because it was deemed "too dark" for NBC, then TNT picked it up. It's now in it's 3rd Season and it's probably the best show I've ever watched. Character's are realistic and it really gets at the gritty side of what being a cop in a metro area is about. It honestly is more like "COPS" than The Shield or anything similar.

If you don't watch it see if you can find the first 2 seasons on-line. I highly recommend it.

caught the first episode last night. Story lines were believable enough, good characters/actors. I was surprised by the PO who was killed at the end by the gang bangers. Couldn't tell if he was shot or kicked into eternity......seems like a watcher.

One of the best shows I've ever seen I've never missed a episode.. Last night episode did strike a nerve I really liked Nate really didn't wanted to see him killed off. Hope they really keep this show going. And he we struck in the back of the head with a crow bar

Never watched it but since everyone here seems to love it, it's on my Netflix list now. I need something to watch until the next season of Walking Dead starts.

I like it and have watched probably every episode since the beginning. The training officer cracks me up, he must have been coached by a real Field Training Officer.

According to Michael Cudlitz (Cooper) they have an LAPD officer on hand at all times to give them pointers to make it as realistic as possible.

Have never missed an episode. Was so glad the TNT picked up after NBC dropped the ball (again).

My understanding is that Nate was killed off because the actor made a commitment to True Blood while the future of SouthLAnd was still up in the air....

Anyone watch Southland Last night ?  Did you catch the reference to "The Onion Field" Book written by Joseph Wambaugh.  To all the L/E officers be aware , never drop your guard. Keep safe.
