While he states the obvious, it is refreshing to hear it from a local Sheriff considering all we ever hear is how more guns aren't the answer. They only lead to vigilantism.

Sherrif Wright probably will get a lot of flack from the left, the anti-gunners, the ACLU, and probably the ASPCA for comparing this man to an animal. But his sentiments and his frustrations are right on target. Playing kissy-face with criminals hasn't worked. Bring back penalties for wrong-doing. And his reference to a chain gang...I'd like to see something like that re-instituted.
