Why vote early

I am kind of a traditionalist. If the founding fathers said vote today i'd prefer to vote today. But it seems my little boy came down with a stomach virus and I have it now. Was up all night. And my wife is getting sick in there right now. I am extremely ill but even if I have an accident in line I'n going to vote. I am not sure how we gonna do it cause we have a 1 week old baby too. It just sucks & wish i'd voted early this one time.

we vote early because my wife has a job that virtually prevents normal voting. But I do not like crowds so it helps with that too. She does 2 days a week, mon/tues, 20 hours. We could probably make the polls before or after her work but early is much, much easier to handle.

I voted early and in my tiny little town (and county) I think I waited in line longer to vote early. There was only one poll open for the last week in the whole county.

There are some advantages to living in 'Podunk'. I have voted early for the past, few years (couple of Presidential elections plus Gubernatorial and so on.) Living in a small town and not too far from the early voting station, it was easy to do so at my convenience.

Since moving last year, though, early voting would not be very convenient, for me, since I now live on the very edge of my new county. Therefore, I decided to wait and vote today. My new polling station is the rather tiny annex of a small, country Baptist church. I am working the evening shift today so stopping by before coming to work meant I was in there at just before 11am this morning. When I walked in, counting myself, there were eleven people in the room. That included the polling station workers. They only had two 'booths' but by the time I got signed in and everything there was still only one person waiting ahead of me. All in all, even though I lived in a small town, before it was still quicker and less hassle to vote on election day where I am voting now than it was to early vote where I lived, before. I made it. There wasn't a line at all. Actually my mom walked in right after me and we voted next to each other. I hope they clean that touch screen cause this seems to be highly contageous. When I was done the gave me a sticker that said "I Sharted"

Unfortunately my wife didn't make it, she was throwing up too much. She was very disappointed but she was just in too bad of shape.
