Now D, don't be nasty:) I swear resellers must be getting every round from the big box stores in TN.  I have still not seen a bulk box for sale in Clarksville

Wal Mart actually had .45 100 rd boxes (WWB and Federal) for sale in Clarksville. I just picked up one box and the lady in sporting goods section kept asking me if I was "sure" that I only wanted just one box. I had to remind her that I'm not trying to buy a bunch of ammo to resell; I just want to go shoot some tomorrow since I have the day off. I guess they are used to people still buying their 3 box limit when the ammo hits the shelves.

I had the same thing happen at Academy Friday. There were two 50 rd boxes of Rem 9mm so I asked for one box for the wife's carry gun. The guy and girl both looked at the two remaining boxes and said "How many???" I said "One, that'll leave one for the next guy. You'd have thought I told them I was from the future LOL

Basically the same thing happened to me at Walmart today. Went grocery shopping with the wife and had to first stop by the sporting goods counter just because.

Asked the lady if they had any 9mm or .45 and she looked. Yep, I've got three boxes of .45 left but you can purchase only three boxes. "Really"? Told her I'll take two boxes and left one for the next guy. She looked dumbfounded?

It's getting spotty at Wally World but things are looking up.

Oh, truck came in tonight and we got a case of .22 LR in. Some Tullammo in .223 and 7.62 as well. But as soon as we got it off the truck, the guys from the front came backand took it to the floor, Said there was a line for the .22( go figure). I have seen more .22 ammo at the Manchester walmart than at Tullahoma's or Fayetteville's wal-mart. In manchester sometimes it stays around longer than most.

I hope the re-sellers choke on it. Hope they aren't able to re-sell what they have for what they want.

Wally World in Bristol, VA had Winchester Wildcat .22 tonight.  Looked like at least a dozen boxes.  Couldn't see the price (all their ammo is in a case behind the counter, and out of bifocal range), but a guy in front of me had two or three boxes and I think I heard the clerk tell him "Seven dollars" and change.  This is significant only in the fact that this WM never, ever has any desirable ammo - they have had the same few boxes of 7mm and .270 for the last year or so...so much so that even the clerk was aghast.  Said "I have no idea where that came from or why we have it"...

Walmart at Rivergate got in 20 boxes of Federal .22lr 550rds at 6:30 tonight and I got the last two boxes at 9:00. They still have around 36 boxes of Independence .556 at 10.47 a 20 rd box and it's been there since last Wednesday. Edited by ThePunisher
