Oh. I see. Well, that's your right. I care a great deal what the court says, because it determines whether or not a use of force against another results in an acquittal or 20-to-life. That matters to me. But it's a free country. I wish you luck with your approach. :-) --Andrew, @LawSelfDefense
Now, I'd like to bring you in on the chronological events of this thread. When I was taking a dump this morning I saw a thread with your name as the author. Based on your previous postings regarding your book, I knew you'd be trying to sell something in this thread before I opened it. I made the choice, before reading, not to bother commenting, as the mods will either take care of it, or they won't. Their site, their rules. But then I saw the case you were citing, and that really pissed me off, as you completely skimmed over the fact of what happened and focused on how the court ruled, but not why. You tried to turn the murder of a respected member of my community into "unfortunate" (to use your words) side effect of self defense, rather than identify that the defendant was engaged in the criminal world and was blindly firing in a parking lot of women and children with no regard to their safety. What's more is that you're trying to fill seats at your seminar by using this as an "in" to bring up a talking point that you can relate to your bulls*** enterprise. If I'm wrong then I'm sure the mods will delete this post at your request. By all means, please let them know.

Why would I ask them to delete your post?  If this is how you want to represent yourself, it's OK with me.

Free country.

I would hope that you would address all the valid points I brought up rather than focusing on elephant pecker alone, but as you say, it's a free country. I'm gonna keep dumping your thread until I get told to stop. I don't like it when I see people trying to take advantage of others. It angers me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

You're free to spend your time however you like.  :-)

And I'm free to not lower my own discourse to the level of "elephant dick". :-)

Have a nice day!

Do with it what you like. I just assumed you're better at fellating a pachyderm than dispensing legal advice in Tennessee. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Maybe the reason why the sudden interest in Tennessee laws? http://lawofselfdefense.com/seminars/

http://awofselfdefense.com/shop/  Really?  You have a hat for sale?

You know, as far as I can see, the only people on this forum who are promoting links to my books and seminars are YOU.

Certainly I haven't done so here.

So, if doing so is supposed to be evil commercialization, perhaps you should banish yourselves?

Although, I guess common courtesy would indicate that I thank you for the promotion. I just want to make clear that you did it of your own accord, with no prompting from me. Also, both the books and seminar--now that you've mentioned them--are awesome.  Also, the hat. :-)

SMFH. :-)

Well, don't pussy foot around, man.

Show me where I've promoted links here--or, hey, I'll be generous, where I've promoted links on ANY THREAD I'VE PARTICIPATED IN THIS YEAR--to my work product, and I'll send you a free copy of my book. Autographed, if you like (and many people do).

Sure, I'll wait.

But seriously, you few people don't have anything better to do than hate on someone trying to inform gun owners about how to not accidentally overstep the bounds of lawful self-defense?  The vast majority of which I do for free--including 100% of what I post here?

I mean, do you WANT them to go to jail? What kind of monsters ARE you?

The difference is when you do it you're trying to sell something. Yeah, it's been a while since you came here hocking your crappy book, but it remains a fact that it happened. Now you conveniently mention two seminars you have coming up in Tennessee in the first thread you start since then. We can look at the time stamps to see when you started the other threads, one of which you chose not to mention that part after I called you out here. I have a well calibrated BS meter. It utilizes an algorithm which is likely to get a classification once DARPA cracks it. Sometimes it detects trace amounts of BS. With you, my BS meter is at full tilt. If you had come here to discuss topics without bringing up your "business", I never would have given it a second thought to your ulterior motives. But you did, and this isn't the first time. If your "business" is legit then you can pay to be a vendor like others do. Otherwise, stop mentioning your crappy product. Remove mention of your upcoming side show-- er, seminar from the first entry in this thread and the other thread you posted. Bottom line, you're dishonest and unethical. We both know what you're doing. It is akin to a guy posting here for two seconds, then making mention of an upcoming training event that he's taking reservations for; for a fee. Oh, and you're free to send me one of your books. My uncle has birds and your book would make a great cage liner. It would be better utilized there, rather than in an ever growing stack in your mom's basement. You suck at life. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Glad I got rid of him when I did or we might have been getting billed for all his "free" legal advice.

Personally I think it should be the same as when people die during the commission of a crime and that is the person who initiated the criminal act should be charged with any injuries or deaths, including fellow criminals. After all, but for the criminal's actions no one would have gotten hurt. A innocent person trying to defend his life should not have to worry about the legal ramifications and should only be worried about coming out the other end of the alercation.

Yes, but the criminals don't have any money for the lawyers to go after, and they won't be earning any either.

The shooter in this case only did a year of a six year sentence.

Well I'd take my chances at being charged for shooting a by stander. If that gang banging, drug dealing, hood rat only had to do a year there'd be no way I'd ever do time. I ain't no lawyer though.

Besides that the story linked was from 2011 any body wanna take bets on if he is back in prison or has served time and been released on unrelated charges since then? What's wrong with our justice-less system?

We don't have a justice system; we have a legal system, and it's the best in the world.

What's wrong with that picture? :wall:

What are you, a socialist?  You get all the justice you can buy, what's more fair and traditionally American than that?

Those of means can afford to hire the best legal representation but I don't and never have seen anything wrong with that any more than I see anything wrong with those of means being able to buy the nicest houses, best cars, yachts, etc. etc., all of which I see as incentive to want to part of those people of means.  ;)
