New guy middle tn area

Good evening fellas,
My name is Chris and I was born in Franklin TN, I've lived here my whole life which is kinda hard to come by now days for this area. I grew up around guns but recently got into them as a "hobby". I currently have a Ruger SR22 but I'm looking into a Walther P99C AS as a replacement. Also currently on the prowl for a mossberg 500 (home defense) and a quality stripped lower for a first time build , something I'm pretty excited about. Anyways I'm glad to be here and looking forward to learning a lot.

Welcome from Sevier County resident. I have a cousin in Franklin, visited cousin and the area a couple times. 

 

I recently bought the Ruger SR22 (Dec 2015) as first gun I have bought since I was 16 yr old and bought a shotgun (still have the shotgun and bought a short barrel for it a year ago). I am 78 now, so you can see I am not into it in a big way.

 

I did also buy a BB CO2 Pistol and a 10 Pump Air Rifle (enjoy those more than anything as can shoot in basement range and cheap AMMO). Bought a Remington 22 Model 597 with Scope last week and have not shot it yet.

 

Do most shooting at Bubbling Spring Range (Forest Range 53 miles east of me).
