Talking with a friend last night at the range, he just got one, was talking about how sweet the trigger is on his, he said the reset is very very nice and short!

Nice!

No i was going to while i was up at guns and leather ( which is where i got it) but they had a long waiting list and i did not have time to wait. I don"t really have anywhere to shoot around here at least nowhere i have found yet

Mine is only the Mil Spec but the grips seem very nice with a nice grain for the price point of the pistol. I'm going to put them in the safe and Hogue this thing up like all the past 1911s. I still say for fit, form and performance, Hogue is the way to go.

Is that the compact or the commander? That wood looks really good too.

Thanks guys....:2cents:

I'm looking for something keep in the truck that won't break my heart if stolen from a break-in.

Most of my 1911s are high end (i.e. Colt, Kimber, Springfield Armory). I'd loose my lunch everytime I heard "1911", if I lost one of those like that.

Kinda explains why I'm carrying a $175 FEG PA-63 in .380 now....it's the cheapest thing I own.

Its a 1911 A1 MS which they no longer display on their website. It has a 3.5 inch barrel and the full length metal recoil spring guide which is not really classic Mil Spec standard. I don't have the front bushing but have to compress the spring and put a paper clip in the guide to hold the spring back to remove it. Nice set up, same as I had in my Kimber Compact Stainless. Having shot both, I'm not upset at all now to have a much lower price point pistol. Very crisp light pull trigger. The only upgrades I'm planning is a ambi safety, the wire style hammer so it doesn't hang and the aforementioned Hogue grips.

Tuner260 and Rightwinger, those are some nice 1911s.

What's the going/average rate on a RIA 1911?

I'm very interested...:2cents:

I got mine for 469 at guns and leather but they had a chrome one for 439 and a standard mil spec for 397. They had one more that had a double stack mag but i don't remember how much it was.

I like the stainless one. I wish RIA would nix the chrome and pickup the stainless.

Yeah that chrome looks a little too blingtastic. A stainless RIA would be extremely popular I would think.
