If your gun is nickel, don't mess with it. I did mine because it was scratched to hell from years of use. If it's stainless, as mentioned below, get your mothers out and polish.... I would prefer nickel because it was like a mirror....

Hornet22, you don't need to have your 1911 chromed. If the gun is stainless, all you gotta do is sit down with a can of Mother's Mag Polish and a soft rag and go to town. You'll be amazed at the results.

Up for your consideration is a Barrett REC7 DI rifle. It's in excellent condition and basically like new out of the box. This is from Barrett's most recent production run which used a lot of Geissele components including their CHF 16" barrel, pinned gas block, BCG, and ALG trigger. The handguard is very similar to a Knight's FF RAS 5 and has a locking tab integrated into the upper. The original Magpul stock and grip were swapped for K variants, however the grip is still included along with a Radian Raptor LT charging handle and (3) translucent 30rd Lancer mags. $995 - Sorry no trades at this time.
