You're looking to buy a 2007 authentic Marlin per the serial number you've posted. This serial number was stamped into the top of the tang yes ? The JM isn't always stamped in any particular direction but almost always near where the barrel enters the receiver. Sounds like you're about to add an awesome caliber lever action to the collection

I am trying to work out if the marlin (44mag) I’m looking at purchasing is a genuine marlin or a remlin which I don’t really want. it has the jm stamp, however it is a little crooked… Serial number is 9321xxxx can anyone help me out at all?

Yep. Start low like always to get negotiation process going. Got the typical " No! LOL ", when a simple can't do that like I would do. And then go from there. Asked best and $650 was answer. So I stand by my just put firm and be done with it.
