  1. Life Lessons Learned These Past Few Days... 1. No matter how bad things are at the moment, they could always be worse. Be thankful. If you can't see anything to be thankful for, be thankful for the fact that you haven't been shown how much worse it really could get. 2. Material things are temporary. Don't let them dominate your life. Don't let them dictate how you spend your time by forcing you to work more than you rest, just to keep those material things around. It's not worth it. 3. Families aren't perfect, but they are still family. Don't let arguments go unresolved. Don't let hateful things said go without being retracted. Say you're sorry. Tell them you love them. One day you won't be able to. 4. True friends will make themselves known. If you ever wonder who your friends really are, look around when all hell is breaking loose in your life. If they're still there with you, they're a true friend. If they aren't, they're an acquaintance and shouldn't distract you from finding true friends. When you find one, treat them like family. See above. 5. Live every day like it's your last. One of these days, you'll be right.

  2. When you stop to consider how many friggin inbred, white trash, ghetto scum, non English speaking retards they have to deal with in a days time, you realize you'd probably be an Ahole too. No way I could do that job, I'd kill me three or four before the cops showed up. People are stupid and putting up with it will drive you barking mad. It's not a reason to treat others like crap, but at least consider that before you label someone a jerk. Me, I'm both. I was a jerk before and now that I have to deal with the public, I'm a super jerk.

  3. Most reporting these days are not the days of old, where who, what, where, when & why were the reporting standards with fair and balanced mixed in. These days not even reading between the lines in major media will give you the facts, but only opinions, speculation and the now popular liberal spin. Our news media has been taken over by the Vietnam war protesting, draft card burning, draft dodging, old money, pot smoking but doesn't inhale, socialists for a pacifist society. All major media outlets these days don't differentiate between fact and fiction, just liberal spin to suit their own agendas. Rant / OFF

  5. And for 40 more dollars you can get one that is not only made in America, but made right here in TN, that won't break on you when you use it! I've seen several Blackhawk! rigs come apart at the seams and have buckles rip off. Never seen SOE gear do that. Ever. Even if you do manage to tear it up, John will send you a new one. Mike

  7. Yep, I've practiced cantankerous old fartism from an early age, thought I might as well hone one trait to perfection. - OS

  8. Predator Custom Shop is a great place to have work done. The smith is Bob Howard and he is an absolute master at doing triggers on most guns. He is also amazing with 1911's. They have some of the fastest turn around times as well as reasonable prices. Dolomite

  9. Decide which one's more important, the gun or visiting D.C. You can't legally do both. Go and enjoy the place. Leave the gun at home. The park police do a great job of keeping the tourist areas patrolled. Treat it like any other city and don't be stupid. The murders and things you hear about in DC are not normally in the parts of town a normal tourist would find themselves in. Be smart. Don't ride the subway at 2am and things like that.

  10. Rabid anti-gun group preps canned response. In other news, the Pope is Catholic, Elvis liked fried peanut butter and banana sammiches, and there was a fire in a crappy part of town. News at 11....

  12. I will say this: Romney seems to love this country for what it was meant to be. Obama seems to love this country for what he would like it to turn it into.

  14. Something to cure your boredom. For me I keep a deck of playing cards. Sent from the Titanic. I named my phone "The Titanic" so when I plug it into the computer it says "The Titanic is syncing".
