  1. Well this is the area I'm working for a couple weeks so...
  2. That's actually a pretty fair shake coming from Stossel, didn't detect any bias in it.
  3. Mine arrived. It's certainly fun, probably carry it tomorrow before throwing it in the safe.
  4. This is the guy also getting sued by Fireclean. Not saying that has any bearing, just an interesting fact. Counterpoint to the above Glock Fan boy. They have pulled all the guns from their shelves and are no longer selling them. Could well be a play, but seems stupid to lose revenue. Then again people have done dumber for less.
  5. Alright, so I registered. Anything else required until the day of the match? In rereading everything the range is collecting the fee?
  6. I think mefloquine messed with everyone. Possibly thinking of another anti malarial but there was an article recently about the side effects of it. Apparently it hammered most people.
  7. Well someone was an idiot either way.
  8. You can't go wrong with any of the big names like Benelli, Beretta, Browning, etc. My bias is towards Benelli but that's just what I've more or less always shot. Best thing to do is go try some first and see fits and feels best (which you know). Let me know if you want to try any of mine and I'll bring them out.
  9. I think you have more AKs than I have guns in general now.
  10. Talk about shotgun charges.
  11. Couldn't locate what I was looking for. What about drilling part way in to grab with a spanner?
  12. ^That's a plan. I'm going to go dig in my tool bag real quick, I'm thinking I've seen a funky wrench end that might work. counting 42 teeth as well. Ultimately I don't think I'd worry about the torque value that much, mil spec nuts have a huge value range.
  13. Strap wrench. That's me being a smartass. I'm guessing there was probably a special wrench that came with it.
  14. Well, I think you just said what we all wish could say with better clarity and eloquence.
  15. Funny how that works isn't it?
  16. If you noticed, I did clarify that I'm not blaming everyone, it's the 10% that cause everyone else problems. Yes, they're people like we all are, and mistakes happen. The difference is I don't generally have the capacity to screw someone's life up the way you can because you're in a bad mood with some punk smarting off at you and you can't control your temper. Nor can I shoot someone and claim "I heard a noise, got scared" and end up with a wrist slap and getting stuck behind a desk for a week. Point being there are set standards and if you're going to enforce them you should be better than them. These guys don't meet that, nor does anyone else if this is "acceptable" and "following procedure." Note, none of this is directed at you specifically and I'm not trying to slight you in any way.
  17. I'm not arguing with you, but it seems like that should be a kick in the ass to the public to start getting some better people in uniform.
  18. What happened before? It's irrelevant. The guy poses no threat. It doesn't matter what the paper says when there is video evidence of what happened. Nothing they did was justified in the slightest.
  19. This is why people hate cops right here. Yeah I know the 10% of ####birds screw it up for everyone else, but if relations between the public and cops are going to improve, the cop community needs to condemn this. Unlike the usual circle the wagons "didn't do anything wrong" attitude you normally see. There isn't a single justifiable reason for this to have occurred and it's disappointing to see so-called protectors of the community acting like savages.
  20. I've seen Dolomite's video in question, he's not joking about that. I think it should be also noted that some AKs have .311 bores and not .308 bores like some of the US produced ammo which doesn't help accuracy issues.
  21. You should build one next, just sayin'.
  22. Most definitely on the key chain. I have to say this was a challenge but I've never done it before so that's part of it. The thought of moving DOWN in size is scary lol. Outside of the horse world I'm not sure where I'll use it though, well maybe on some bag handles or something. Maybe I'll do some ar mag pulls for the lulz.
  23. Did this last night. Herringbone 8 thong braided horse lead. I really don't like the two ferrules I used but they were what I had on hand. Need to source something better.
  24. Completely reasonable price.
