  1. Posting urls to pics or vids is 100% hit or miss here. Sometimes it embeds, sometimes it doesn’t. It all depends on the platform, browser, and your mood at that particular time.
  2. Lighten up E, lol. This Gen X boy wasn’t even thinking about it when I turned 30. I was more focused what people that age usually are.
  3. They probably expect to retire off social security, if they even understand how that works.
  4. So you basically have a pension. Take it if you have the reserves built up not only for sustenance, but catastrophes, and go work at Home Depot or something like that part time if you get bored.
  5. If you retire before 50, at 50, or whenever, what are your plans for health insurance?
  6. How much are the lawyers getting out of this settlement?
  7. I can’t even imagine what you’ve said on other, less couth sites.
  8. If I see what you want us to see, that’s a bush or whatever that vegetation is, lol.
  9. It is that time of year. I’ve had a few so far but nothing unmanageable. Have no clue about dealing with a mass invasion other than to be careful when slapping something that lands on you, it might be one of them.
  10. Is that seriously a document produced by members of the US Senate? There’s no need to read all 77 pages. The slick first page is all anyone is going to look at. Just damn.
  11. Page 12. September and October. Wayne the Pierre is still large and in charge.
  12. The resolution did pass city council 8-1. Mayor Rojero will allow the last two shows already scheduled for the year to continue but will not approve any more. She will be out of office in a couple of months and both the candidates running to replace her approve of the measure as well. Gun shows at Chilhowee Park are done.
  13. I have no idea but I guess it’s for detective types and/or backup purposes. A couple of years ago KPD dumped all their Glock .40’s for Sig 22n’s (I forget which model) in .45, along with some make of 1911 for the tactical guys. Maybe they like the slimness of the XDS?
  14. Somebody should tell the Knoxville Police department that XDS’ are not up to some’s standards. They are trying to trade in their inventory of confiscated guns for 60 of them in .45.
  15. The Boys will have been thrashed by enough top 10 teams when homecoming comes around to compete with UAB.
  16. Maybe so but you can also say they needlessly squandered taxpayer and customer dollars in both cases. We all know the result of that. Thankfully, some agencies are more fiscally responsible and are sourcing more appropriately priced AR weaponry.
  17. So... - The ATF declared bump stocks legal by their own analysis and subsequent opinion. - They then declared them machine guns (per Trump’s directive) - Now they say they can’t enforce their own regulations. Am I interpreting this correctly?
  18. Not to crazy about the wood either...or the rifle itself as I have no need for a smooth bore .22. However, I do wonder how how crimped shotshells perform in a rifled barrel as opposed to CCI’s capsules.
  19. The UT-Vandy game is two months away, just a week after Garth Brooks and his people tear up the field. Maybe that will enhance the home field advantage, lol.
  20. Here you go. Compared with an H001.
  21. You know Amazon might be quietly purging all sales of AR and AK related stuff. Just an FYI if you are concerned about where your money goes. https://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/amazon-deletes-hundreds-of-items-after-senators-criticize-assault-weapon-accessory-sales/
  22. Analysis: Colt simply can’t compete and never could, at least in the past few decades in the civilian market IMHO. They thrive off government contracts and have done so since the company was founded. The media is, and will, portray Colt’s press release as saying that there are too many AR’s in civilian hands and that only the government should have them. Edit: The damage is done.
  23. There is another discussion and a half going on about this but I’m not going looking for them. Now that this week old news is going mainstream expect the media to have a field day over their victory. I’ve seen it on Fox online and the ABC evening news tonight. Here is Colt’s poorly worded statement: https://www.colt.com/news/2630 Published 09/19/2019 Company Response to Questions about Colt Participation in Consumer Markets WEST HARTFORD, Conn. (September 19th, 2019) – There have been numerous articles recently published about Colt’s participation in the commercial rifle market. Some of these articles have incorrectly stated or implied that Colt is not committed to the consumer market. We want to assure you that Colt is committed to the Second Amendment, highly values its customers and continues to manufacture the world’s finest quality firearms for the consumer market. The fact of the matter is that over the last few years, the market for modern sporting rifles has experienced significant excess manufacturing capacity. Given this level of manufacturing capacity, we believe there is adequate supply for modern sporting rifles for the foreseeable future. On the other hand, our warfighters and law enforcement personnel continue to demand Colt rifles and we are fortunate enough to have been awarded significant military and law enforcement contracts. Currently, these high-volume contracts are absorbing all of Colt’s manufacturing capacity for rifles. Colt’s commitment to the consumer markets, however, is unwavering. We continue to expand our network of dealers across the country and to supply them with expanding lines of the finest quality 1911s and revolvers. At the end of the day, we believe it is good sense to follow consumer demand and to adjust as market dynamics change. Colt has been a stout supporter of the Second Amendment for over 180 years, remains so, and will continue to provide its customers with the finest quality firearms in the world. Very respectfully, Dennis Veilleux, President and Chief Executive Officer
