I've had mine a year or so and it's how you describe. Finding any holster I liked seemed problematic but has been fixed. The grip texture starts wearing on me after about the sixth magazine though. Spot on with the Glock comparison. I posted a picture on here comparing the G23 and the FNS 9. It probably faded away when Photobucket changed things up. For me this firearm fits everything I am after.

This is my set up too with a normal lens in the other. Not sure on the severity of my astigmatism but I'm wearing this in one eye and they have done fine too.

Welcome to TN. Nashville Armory should hold you over until you settle in.

The revolver pieces are very nice. If I didn't already have one of yours for my 686 I'd be after one of those.

Welcome aboard.

Adding that one expensive firearm to the collection...
jhc77 replied to Ramjo's topic in Curio, Relics and Black Powder
My collection and firearm bug got started unfortunately when my father passed just shy of 10 years ago. I've not looked into older guns since I aquired my dads. A shocker to the family was the 1866 "Golden Boy" second model made in 1869 according to the serial. No one knows how it ended up with him. Other goods were a S&W 686 no dash 6" from 1982 and a Ruger MKI from 1976 I believe. Not had funds to even think about adding anything the last few years. -
+1 on the Maglula Uplula. If I know I'm heading to the range I'll load everything up beforehand so I'm not clicking time while in the range. I normally go to a place that's by the hour. I'll dump 10 magazines then reload. Saves my thumbs on harder mag followers. Like monkey said price won't change more than a few on either side of $30 anywhere. Well worth it.

Bravo! My little girl is only 3 and hasn't seen much if any dyed hair out in public around town. I'll be in the same boat probably one day. How do schools take the alternative hair colors these days? Can't believe my son is done for the year today.

Took a few clicks to get a "bump" on my ads. I don't list many things so this is still trial and mostly error for me these days.

I thought it would be a fun thing to tear down my 22/45 for a look-see after I picked it up (not smart). During reassembly the strut was giving me fits when I was try to seat the mainspring. Having done my MKI in a matter of minutes the 22/45 should have taken just as little time also (or so I thought). 43 year old MKI goes together like butter.

2:35 mark is where smoke starts billowing out of my nostrils.

4/6, 4/10, and 4/27 show up for me

I think you can respond on the page (vs PM only) as a part of the new way the classified section is set up. You most likely cannot create an ad still.

Went to Nashville Armory today. Seems like I'm on a 3 or 4 month schedule with these trips. Had to run up to Nashville for something and tossed my G23 and FNS9 in my bag with a few boxes of each. Enjoying the FN more and more each trip, especially out around 15 yards.

The 50mm 1.8 is still on my wishlist at Amazon. Waiting on taxes to hopefully pick one up.

Seems like one I blocked is gone from viewing on my PC but still showing up when I'm on my phone.

Favorite is my 686 6" no dash. Was carrying a G23 until I got an FNS 9 last year. Almost feel like selling Glock cause it's so harsh at the range (165 or 180gr) compared to the FN.

Handgun in Car, under 21 year old driving
jhc77 replied to sschrick's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I believe he has to be 18 in order for him to have it in the vehicle by himself. Ownership most always goes to the driver. If there were some alcohol left (on accident of course) in the trunk and he was pulled under 21 that would ruin some folks day. Someone with more knowledge will be along to add or wreck my post shortly. -
3 cups of coffee is my max according to this. I used to pound a whole pot before lunch. That was in my rougher years (outta shape, drank waaay toooo much in the spirits catagory). I get by with 2 cups, then I mostly just get tired of the taste for the day. The last 20oz energy drink I tried, I thought I was going to croak after 20 minutes. And I was still yawning. I know which brand and color can never to touch again. I'm 39 and caffeine doesn't do a whole lot anymore to my system. I could down a 20oz Mountain Dew and fall off to sleep 30 minutes later.

Hydra-Shok or HST in the M’boro/Smyrna area?
jhc77 replied to DaveTN's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
Between this and Amazon I won't have to leave the neighborhood. Excellent! -
Nice find. I just got back from the range. Get to spend the next hour and a half cleaning my 686 No Dash with the 6" barrel. I had gjohnsonIV (I think, sorry George) to make a holster. Turned out nicer than anything I saw anywhere really.
