Thanks to the Internet, this countrry is in deep doodoo!

They call the veterans a threat because they tend to be mostly conservative patriots. It isn't a mystery why both sides look at politics when choosing the high command staff. -
So 17.28% are female buyers? :pleased:

Sorry, SOG Spec Elite II. It was my first auto-knife. :)

I've used them once and was pleased.

I tend to get my news from different sources because I haven't trusted the "media" since about 1983 when a reporter told a fellow LEO that she'd make something up if he didn't tell her his story when he killed someone in the line of duty. I don't trust anyone with a clear agenda whether it be individuals, FOX News or MSNBC. But what is troubling to me isn't the reporting but rather what I see in the comments section below the stories. Time and again the comments below the story interject politics regardless of whether or not the story is a political one. Time and again the comments consist of insulting remarks towards others that they don't even know, nor would they have the guts to say the same in person. Keyboard Commandos is what I call such individuals, and it seems that this county is just chock full of them! Heck, Ive even seen them on this moderated forum although they don't tend to last very long! It seems like civil discourse is a thing of the past anymore, and that's a big red flag for me as far as this country's very survival is concerned. Nothing gets done because people are too charged up with an us versus them mentality and hurt feelings. Sort of, "Why should I discuss anything with someone who can only hurl insults at me?" type of mindset. Consider that in the 1800's there were disagreements concerning various ideas as to how this country should be operated, and those disagreements eventually devolved into The American Civil War in 1861. This was a time of a more civil discourse between parties, and it turned into one of the bloodiest times in our history still impacting us today! Today we have Facebook and Twitter that can take a disagreement to hostilities in mere minutes. Also consider that one of the common denominators with the mass shooters in recent history is their use of the Internet. Could it be that people who feel socially awkward in public turn to the Internet and its unregulated conduct just to find the worst in human interactions, and then they flip that switch that says everybody sucks and deserves to die? I've seen some members of this forum comment upon how there would never be another civil war - and chastise others for even thinking that there will be - but I submit that the evidence indicates the contrary. I'm watching our society devolve into a bunch of rude :poop: heads that have no respect for anyone else, their opinion, or even their life. I see it on the roads with what we've termed "Road Rage," and I've seen it in our politics, entertainment, and even in religion of all places. I see other countries that do not like us do their best to exert pressure as well. I see our country polarizing to a degree that I've never witnessed in my 55 years, so what makes the terrifying idea of a civil war coming so far out there? This time it won't be North against South, but rather Conservative versus Liberal with it being even harder to identify the enemy. And this time it will weaken us at a time when other countries are just waiting for that right moment to attack, and then we'll be screwed. Yes, I don't foresee good things for this country because I don't see any way to change the pathway before us.

I bought a Masterbuilt and it was a POS. I called Masterbuilt for support and was treated like I was the POS. I took it back to Academy and bought a small Bradly from Gander Mountain, and it has worked great. The meat is best when I smoke it low and slow, and then finish it on the grill.

Will it be called "Nash Angeles" or "San Franville"??

Posting links to articles that require joining their site to view is pretty useless. -
I think every gun store has hired the wrong person a time or two, but when the owner is whack there's no excuse for it. I have bought several guns from the owner of Specialty Arms and found him to be a pleasant and an overall good experience each time. The last time I went in there to purchase a Ruger I got a relatively young employee whom I'd not seen before and who seemed to be an impersonal ass-hat. The owner wasn't around or I would have said something to him about it. That particular day I had both of my sisters with me, and we had visited Guns-N-More too. The contrast in experience was such that they remarked to me that they wouldn't buy from Specialty Arms. You can't do much about owners, but a word to the owners are to watch their employees when they don't think that you are watching. Don't take anything for granted that could risk your business.

That is brilliant! Kudos to you sir! :)

Top California official pushes ammo background checks

Thin skinned? Not hardly. Plight is a strong term that I reserve for people really in serious situations - like in most of Africa and in other places. Plight is not a term I would use for someone in California for a situation like this. If they don't like what's going on tin their state then they should have fought harder decades ago...or moved like I did. -

Plight of others? What are YOU doing for the poor in Africa then? -
I haven't received a letter but my crap's so old it's probably only on a microfiche somewhere in the archives. :)

Save Monkeyman ... Or not ... (Classic Car Advice)
E4 No More replied to MrsMonkeyMan2500's topic in General Chat
In short, sell it! I don't say this lightly and I offer my experience as an example. My wife owned a Ford Edge that she loved, and I owned a 2013 BOSS 302 Mustang that I dearly loved. I had waited several years for this specific specialty car to be released by Ford to the point of passing up on other performance vehicles like the 2012 version that had different stripes. When I finally got the car I did a few things to customize it, babied it, and truly enjoyed driving it to work every day. I was so attached to this car that every time I walked out to it my heart would speed up, and I drove it at every opportunity that I had. I even took vacation time to take it out east to drive The Tail of The Dragon and the Diamondback in NC. But our lifestyle changed. My wife, (who refused to camp for over 30 years of marriage), decided that she liked camping so much that we bought a travel trailer. This necessitated trading her Edge for a pick-up to tow the trailer. My wife is short, and she couldn't handle driving the truck at all nor would she dare to drive the BOSS so we carpooled. We did this mostly in the truck, but I soon realized that her not having a vehicle that she could comfortably drive wasn't fair to her because it limited her freedom to move on her own accord. By the time that I owned the BOSS for 1.5 years it had pretty much so become an expensive garage queen which hurt even more, so I traded it in for a Cadillac XTS for my wife. During this process my wife thought I'd back out at the last minute but I didn't. Afterwards, my wife posted on Facebook that it was the single most selfless act that she'd ever witnessed, but to me it was worth it because she dearly loves that car! I still miss my car particularly when I see another BOSS on the road, (there's a 2012 in my neighborhood). My point is that an emotional attachment to a thing shouldn't overrule practicality especially if the thing is not being used. :2cents: -

I disagree that I should care, and I don't. -
Dude! What did that bear do to you to warrant that comparison?

If you want that procedure PM me your email address. I sign off work at 4:00 and can then go into my computer to email it to you.

TPMS on the new trucks will go off at 76 psi on the rears in new 2500's. I have a 2014 2500 and know this for sure. There is a procedure that will reset that, but it's on my home computer.

I disagree, but congress certainly does surprise you every once in awhile. Most Dems remember what happened to their party the last time they voted for anything gun-control related. -

Most of the country is moving in the opposite direction than California, so your premise is flawed. It's up to California residents to challenge the laws; not us.
