  1. I couldn't watch 2 minutes of the video. There are some seriously sad people out there. :(
  2. You missed it. I saw it on MSNBC first.
  3. True. I prefer the "shoot the F'er in the chest, groin, head" plan. :)
  4. I ask because many years ago I shot an old county street sign from about 10 feet away. The .25 just made a dent whereas a .22 went through it, so I doubt it would penetrate a skull. True that the bones behind the eye are very thin, but I wouldn't want to bet my life on hitting a target like that under stress...but that's just me.
  5. As others have opined, your Internet speed is the bottleneck. Cat6A and Cat7 are good for 10 GbE speeds on your Local Area Network, but do nothing for your connection to your ISP and is an expense that you can do without. When I worked small business accounts I handled these kinds of calls frequently. There are some WAN acceleration products out there, but it's pretty useless and expensive for home applications, and I don't know if any apply to sat systems which are usually more asymetrical in their upload/download speeds, (like 2/12). You might be able to set some Quality of Service (QoS) settings in your Belkin, but considering your network I doubt that would be helpful.   802.11N is up to 600 Mbps and 802.11AC is currently up to 1.3 Gbps: however, there are NOT that many client devices coming with 802.11AC cards in them yet. The thing about wireless is that the client closest to the access point will run "faster" than clients further away and thus eat bandwidth, but with 2 devices I don't think that would be much of a problem. Again, your Belkin may not offer anything to assign QoS to types of traffic, so to keep everything even make sure one client is not significantly closer to the access point than the other and assuming that there are no sources of interference such as a microwave or cordless phone in operation.
  6. Pedestrians have right-of-way at all times. When my wife, (who was stopped in traffic), had a motorcyclist dump his bike to avoid an accident with another vehicle and slid into the back of her car sans the bike, (which he had kicked away from him), we were informed that as far as the law and insurace were concerned she hit him because when he left the bike he became a pedestrian. Yes, that sounds dumb, but it's the same here while even jaywalking.
  7. So you're ok with the TSA? :)
  8. Have you tested a 25 on a skull?
  9. The results do not surprise me. Velocity of the round versus velocity of the explosive would dictate its effectiveness in the tissue. It would certainly suck to be shot, but it would suck more to get hit by one of these. I thought that it was interesting the Hitler allowed it to be used against the Russians but not the western allies.
  10. 9MM AR for various reasons.
  11. I see a PA, but she's in Smyrna near Stonecrest.
  12. I seriously do not remember. My department required me to carry off duty, so I bought it to throw in my back pocket in the summer when I wore shorts and wasn't going anywhere that I thought warranted carrying my Glock 22. I was a poor policeman at the time, and it was a cheap solution. I do remember that the barrel was fixed to the frame, and that the slide kind of slipped down over the barrel.
  13. My only donation would be brown and stinky,
  14. Reminds me of a .380 that I carried off duty back in the early 90's from which I still sport a scar on the web of my right hand.
  15. If you are going to worry about that in a defensive situation then you might as well not defend yourself.
  16.  Several actual lawyers on this forum have opined that the only way they'd take a case against someone in these circumstances is if the plaintiff was ok with paying all fees up front and ok with losing them.
  17. They are doing the same thing, and consumers have a choice to buy or not. I see this as no different than the oil speculators no matter whether I like it or not. I wait for poetic justice to hit them. That's my satisfaction.
  18. I've never seen MIM on car parts that matter, (ie: engine, brakes, frame), either.
  19. Isn't that what all businesses do? Isn't that what all investors do? Do they not position themselves to get the most return on their money as possible?
  20. And just where did I look down my nose at others who carry standard factory built guns? I believe that I stated who gives a crap where others choose to spend their money?
  21. One is choice; the other is not...get it?
  22. What's that supposed to mean?   I have a 1911A1 built in 1945 that has all Ed Brown innards in it now.
  23. Nice! I'd hate to figure out how much money I'd run through one of those during range time IF there was a range around here that was worthy of it.
  24. Personally, I prefer the LED with refresh rate of 240 Hz. I let my wife talk me into getting a LCD a few years ago becaue it was a better "deal" for a larger screen, and I've wished I had gone with the LED ever since.
  25. I prefer not to risk my life on the performance and reliability of metal-injection molded parts.
