Thinking about starting to reload
frankmako replied to Johnny Rotten's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
if you all ready got the reloading equipment then you can save big dollars reloading for your rifle. if not the start up cost is what is going to get you. press, dies, books, scales, etc.... will cost some. even if you go used. used prices are just about the same a new at this time. then you got to find powder, primers and bullets. the prices for the three is all over the place. bullets will be the highest cost of the three. yes you can save and make some of the best ammo going. but at this time with the current problems all guns, ammo, and reloading supplies cost have gone sky high. but you got to start somewhere. -

it is a group of people that is running the country. this group hates this country and wants to bring it down to third world level. we are heading the way of cuba. there will be two types of people, the haves and the have not. the ruling class will be the haves and we will be in the other group. get ready, teach your kids well.

How has or will the government shutdown affected you
frankmako replied to c.a.willard's topic in General Chat
i was put on furloughed day one of the shut down. but because of my position i was told to be at work. so i am furloughed, but working like normal and not getting paid. we worked five days before the shut down on the pay period and so far no pay on those days. so it is no pay for the last pay period. looks like it will be no pay for the up coming one too. i got several long term operations going, but no money to support them now. so it looks like money spend and time investigated, etc... will be wasted. but nobody cares. i don't know what part of the government is working except the part that is keeping the dead beats in the money, free phones, and food. and i forgot the part that votes the correct way are still getting funding. something has to be done to stop this run away government. maybe the shut down will be a start. i am for the shut down no matter how hard it will be for me and my family in the long run. -
The Affordable Health Care Tax
frankmako replied to A.J. Holst's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
there will come a time when the people will not take this any more. things will get bad real fast. at this time we got 50% of the people working and supporting the other 50%. the other 50% about 40% of them are dead beats just living off the workers. there will come a time when the workers will rise up to stop giving away their hard earn money to dead beats. or,,,,the system as we know it now will crash. and the way it is looking the system is crashing. -
before it is all over, we all will be one the street side asking for help. i have all ready picked out my spot to stand and i got my tin can and cardboard sign ready.

Increased Telemarketing Calls???
frankmako replied to Wiljo05's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
i get several a day on my cell phone. most of the time i tell them to take my number off their list. then i don't hear from them for some time. but it does come back, from a new group. they have to take your name off if you ask them to. but they can re-do their company and start over again with all the numbers. i use to play games with them, but the person on the other side is just trying to make a living at a low pay. they are not the company that is making the big bucks, just low pay workers. in my wife office building there is a company that sells insurance for your home. they make calls to get the business. the workers making the calls are just normal low pay workers happy to have a job. turn over rate is high and the pay is low with nothing else. but the company has two floors in a new office complex. -
polls don't mean anything these days. they are not good any more. the group doing the polls make the numbers read the way that they want/need. polls are for low information voters.

i got one monday morning. when i eat fast food and it not that much i go to hardee's. the other fast food brands don't spend their ad dollars for people like me. so i spend my money at hardee's. also their food is better.

any small wheel gun is not fun to shoot with full loads like 357 mag, 38 special +p and +p+ unless you are a long time shooter and are use to high power loads. i would look at any s&w j-frame and the ruger. both are good guns. you want her to learn to shoot the gun with lite loads, something like a 38 special 148 gr wad cutter or normal 38 special loads. she will have to fire some full powder loads to see how the gun reacts. but you don't need to make a range day of full power loads.

sometimes a dog will do what dogs do. fresh dirt is something a dog loves. this is going to be hard to stop. sooner or later he will stop.

back in mid 80's i got a 25 foot mako open fisherman from a retired eastern airline pilot. the boat was a local key largo boat and look like new. but i worked myself to death for the first three months getting the boat redone so it would be safe off shore. it was okay to use in the bay. you don't want a problem with your boat when you are in the third shipping lane fishing. one would thing that a pilot would take care of things, but i guest not. one thing that i learn was that you can go off shore fishing two days a week and then spend five days working on the boat. the ocean is hard on a boat. lakes and rivers are easy on them.

the high dollar coolers have just a little more plastic and foam than the coolers that most buy. many mango seasons ago when i lived in miami i had the best that money could buy for my boat. but i also had a coleman cooler on the boat that did the same as the big dollar ones. would i do it all over again? no, the coleman type fits my needs and i like the price.

i make my own. better that way. the price of store jerky is high.

these are setting in the small use gun case on the back side. don't think they will be on their web site because they are used guns. i looked at them this week. the ones i looked at were in good shape. not many rounds fired and all had some holster wear. they have atlanta police department written on the slide. it you need a m&p 40 these will do nice.
