  1. My worry is never the one guy, it is his 5 drunk buddies along with him. If you know the guy it can be all cool, but if it is just some random guys, any minor thing can get out of hand if someone thinks that you disrespected their club or a member. This can be especially bad timing if they are already flexing their muscles to show off in an area and keep others out. So no hate from me for them, but I would just rather avoid worrying about it.
  2. Monk vs. Bikers..... Now on DVD.
  3. I know there are lots of nice bikers, my Dad rode for a long time, but some of these harder core clubs are not so nice. Several Outlaw chapters have been busted for a wide range of drug and violent acts. A meet up could involve some dealings that it is better to not be a part of. I rarely judge people on appearance. I used to dress rougher than some of there guys would. I have also learned that there are some places and groups I avoid to avoid the trouble there. Biker bars and hooker rows are not places to strike up a pleasant conversation. Too many chances for issues.
  4. That is not a good sign. I would give them a wide berth.
  5. If you message me a list of makes and models, I can look them up in the Standard Catalog of Firearms for 2017 and the 2017 Blue Book. Those prices will not be 100% market true, but can help when comparing to Gunbroker.com pricing.
  6. Gonna say "Merry Christmas just in case anyone tosses in a Lifetime. LOL
  7. A group of Mass. Outlaws passed me on I-81 day before yesterday headed that way. Probably 20 of them. The looked to have full game faces on. I wondered where they were going. They even had a dually truck with them hauling stuff.
  8. No, just dropping a kid off for a camp. Hamfest sounds cool though.
  9. One issue I have is that today he will gripe about my office being too full of equipment. Then next week he will ask me is I can cobble together a laptop for X person for $0 and be miffed if I can't. Part of my job has been to rebuild laptops that have been used in the office to be deployed to the field to save money. The savings is in not spending much or anything, not on my labor hours put in on it. Whether that is just reloading the OS, replacing a cracked screen, or swapping out the keyboard. We tend to use the same models for a while, so I can usually rob parts from one that is worse to fix one up. That requires donors though. I used to put all those in the warehouse until the forklift driver ran over stuff for a 3rd time. I know it sounds like whining, and I know it is his company to run. With only 20+ people in the office, it is not like a Fortune 500 company CEO stopping by my office. This company is littered with his relatives and I am asked time and time again by him to do things that are not business related for him and them. I accommodate everything I can in those situations, so I would have thought he would see me working as an understanding that I am fixing the issue. Maybe next time he asks me to go to his niece's house to set up her wifi so she can work from home after having stomach bypass surgery and not have to take any vacation, I will have to just decline. It just makes me sore that he is being petty over what will probably be a 2% (might get me a Big Mac meal per week) raise and he makes 7 figures a year. I know because he has me help him pdf his tax returns..... I will drop this issue now. I have to get back to cleaning my office. I just had a break waiting for software to install on a workstation.
  10. Well , I just got told by our president that the CEO decided to hold my raise that was supposed to come out today (everyone's was) until I clean up my work area. That sounds kind of simple, but it is not. My "office" doubles as the IT storage room for incoming and outgoing pc's, laptops, tablets and phones. I house all our site camera equipment, cables, projectors, software, and networking accessories in here too. I will admit, I am not the neatest person, that is a big fault I have, but my office is also in the warehouse. My door opens into the warehouse, so no one sees my office except a handful of people that come to get something from me or drop something off. Also, my workload already puts me here much more than 40 hours a week at a salary. So staying around extra to just clean up is not really at the top of my list. I have things that need done at home and I do like to see my family some. I think this is a very bad way to treat an issue. I had already discussed the issue with the President and we had a game plan in place to get things done. I have made very concrete progress in the last week and was working on clearing some stuff when the President showed up to tell me this. Someone told me that they have heard of this at other places. Is that right? Anyone else ever seen it? I know I am not the only IT guy with a cluttered office. It seems to come with the territory, especially if you deal with hardware. The software only guys don't seem to have that issue obviously.
  11. So now that you have the form....are you taking orders. LOL
  12. If you had ever sold Kirby vacuum cleaners door-to-door, you might think differently. Though, I understand because my current position is a dead end on promotions and I am not where I should be on pay. I understand people being afraid of change and the unknown when they have a job already. I have been caught up in 2 lay-offs and a business closure in my work history. I worry if I jump to an unknown job, that it might not be as rosy as they sell it to be or they might close up shop 6 months later. With a family and mortgage, that would be rough. If it were just me, I can live in my car and be just fine. The family, not so much. I do keep my eyes peeled though awaiting that dream job to come along.
  13. You just admitted you work for Remington because you are too far away for all of us to start showing up at your house and being your best friend. Jokes on you....I am going to be in Huntsville in a couple weeks.
  14. Looks like a railroad caboose stuck on top of a tractor with a big gun and metal windshield added
  15. Yeah, but most of us still can't make knives as pretty as yours. Lol
  16. Well that leaves me out. I used to drive to Jackson and happen to know it is a push to get there in 7.5 hours from my house. Though I made it back in 6.5 once when my wife was hit by a car. The trooper in Knoxville did not even flip on his lights when I passed him doing 99 in a 55. 8 guess he knew I had my reasons.
  17. Sounds like you are keeping your fishing hole secret. Lol great score.
  18. How you just need a double shoulder holster to carry them both.
  19. Sounds like you just found a good job and stuck with it....and/or all of us just talk too much.
  20. A co-worker's daughter just accepted a job teaching at a middle school that is about an hour from home. Since the best way to get there is all windy back road, he wants to get her a pistol. She has a CCW permit, but just got it with his gun. What are the current standing on guns left in faculty cars on school grounds? What about concealed carry out of the car? Thanks guys.
  21. Man, that looks like it was a sweet time.
  22. I grew up in Sevierville and went to college close to home (not UT). Graduated about 2 decades ago with a business degree but had already sunk deep into IT stuff ( we just called it computers). I have worked a lot of different jobs over the years due to layoffs and business closings. I have been a mortgage loan processor, sold Kirby vaccums, worked retail in Pigeon Forge, done landscape work, trained cashiers, installed school lunchroom cash register systems, installed Gas & Go kiosk systems, and generally whatever it took to pay the bills. I now do IT for a construction company where I am the whole IT department. I support around 75 users in the office and field. I handle the servers, PCs, printers, cellphones, tablets, wireless air cards, accounting systems, and ordering all the supplies for the IT equipment. The company ensures they get their money's worth from me every day. I grew up hunting, but got away from guns while I was trying to work and go to college. Then my jobs kept me busy enough that there was not as lot if "hobby time" with all the travel I did. Plus money was a issue as I got married and started to try get a house and such. I got back into it a few years ago and have been playing at it. I enjoy shooting, but have had to learn/relearn a lot.
  23. Just drive by with a gas blower hanging out the door. Lol
  24. Remember sanity is relative. Lol As stupid as it sounds, waste some time on some games on a phone or tablet for a few minutes. There are lots of types from stupid to totally educational. If you like nature, buy a bird book and start checking off ones you can identify. That will at least get you outside and give the wife breathing room. Just stick to the shade. I spent 6 weeks down for surgery back in my 20's when we did not even have a 4th tv channel. I read a lot and stared at the walls. Never a fun time. Hope you are back to 100% soon.
