  1. I dunno. That would probably be ok. You could be comical and put "This is a Pistol, has ALWAYS been and will ALWAYS be a Pistol" Or "Dear ATF, Don't shot my dog, this is a pistol"
  2. Jeff I checked around at one point, but the only people I found close to me in East TN doing stuff like that did not do guns. You might check http://www.tnarmsco.com/engraving-service/ I know TN Arms is a member here, but I have not ever used them. I just saw their engraving service info recently. Anyone used their service?
  3. You should have carried that SKS with the drum out with you one day.
  4. Welcome and good to meet ya. We all are kinda fond of shooting guns too.
  5. Unless I get drug along to a family movie, I do not get to see any. Rarely I get to catch up when they hit DVD or show up on Amazon Prime. One I am NOT excited for is the new Spiderman. I don't like going back to bumbling teen Spiderman. Also, Aunt May has to be old. She has ALWAYS been an old lady, no reason to make her an Ironman fixation.
  6. I noticed that about hearing protection too. I had no idea about auto sears. I avoid anything that requires more than a basic background check. Plus full auto sounds fun, but really is just a waste of ammo in real combat. Swapping a full auto lower onto a "semi" upper would be ok as long as the bcg was ok. Not sure how modifying the lower goes.
  7. I am a zombie fan of old. I saw the original Night of the Living Dead in B&W as a kid and have been hooked ever since. Even worse than that apocalyptic type movies call to me. Lol I think Fear.. is not as good as TWD, but I known it is not everyone's cup of tea.
  8. When was the last time anyone saw a 1000 round box of Winchester M22 on a local shelf? I would like to get a couple more of them.
  9. On the last episode of Fear TWD Season 3, Episode 6 Alicia comes to Jake while he is having range time. He then shows her how to use the AR. He refers to Safe, semi and full auto. Right before that though, there is a close shot of the AR and it is a M&P model. At first I thought maybe they brought full auto units from the army base, but I doubt they used S&W M&P models. Other than just sloppy gun props (as usual), is there a real possibility of this short of piecing it together after the apocolypse?
  10. I guess she could have always come back with "Finally, we all wondered when you were going to finally do it" before you sent the pic. Lol
  11. Might go rough the next time you see her. lol
  12. Strangely enough if you can get him to wash his feet with acne cleaner it will help. I think it is the kind with Salicylic acid in it. My daughter's feet were rank as a toddler. Like knock you down, throw those new shoes away in 5 days rank. We used some cleaner my wife had all over her feet and between the toes and them wash it off in a few minutes, That took care of it for a while. Sounds strange, but it worked great and was quick to do. Easier than filling her shoes full of baking soda like we had to do every few days before we tried that.
  13. As people say....wait a few months. Guns in a safe are like rabbits...... Especially if your spouse does not look in there often.....
  14. Not terribly as cool, but you could do this with one of the cheap plastic ammo cans from Harbor Freight and a cup holder liner like this is you wanted to do it cheaper.: https://www.amazon.com/Optronics-302P-Black-Single-Holder/dp/B01CAFW79Y/ref=pd_lpo_vtph_263_lp_t_4?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=23EBXKD96SXCYGP3M5T8 Similar could be done for the boom box if you bought a cheap or used boom box at a yard sale and then transferred the guts to the can.
  15. I love that and the idea that you can use it as a cooler with ice in the bottom. 'Cause warm beer sucks if you can help it.
  16. So just thinking during a long drive today. If you ended up in the zombie apocolypse like in TWD, how would you fortify a compound? A lightpole perimeter wall like The Hilltop, a Metal perimeter wall like Alexandria, the chain link walker moat like the Saviors, the bus, tire and other wall of Woodbury, or something else? Seeing as the shtf quick, materials and equipment would still be around. So that makes options more plentiful. And "whatever is around" is not an answer. LOL
  17. Then both of our wives are in agreement about each of us. I just wish the front of me was as flat. At least I have built in insulation I guess.
  18. Yeah, but a brick wall falling on someone can flatten their a$$.
  19. A patio type paint woukd be good to cover up the patching.
  20. Remember, he will just shoot you instead of screwing around with punching. And he has enough ammo saved up to just keep shooting.
  21. I went back in the 90's as a student. One advice would be to send extra cash into your credit card if she will be using it. That builds up you usable limit. Currency exchanged done by the credit card are at the $1 million dollar rate. That is much better than the exchange fees around London. Be sure to get some cash though. I ran into several open air stall markets that had great stuff. Also, prep for rain. It is not as bad as people joke, but it is a rainy place. And in the event you take a cab, be prepared for it not to be cheap if you go any distance. While there if she can sneak north to Sccotland, I would suggest it. I regret that most. It is only about a 3 hour train ride through beautiful country. Once you are across the pond, you might as well. I would love to go back, but it would be different now with all the security and such. When I went the worst thing they had hasseled me about was if I declared the $10 I had in my bags when I returned. Oh, last thing, if you go through Charles de Gaulle Airport in France, be prepared for it to be a pain. I have been there 2 times with round trips and all 4 times were stupidly hard to deal with. They taxi you around for 30 minutes after landing, then you have to go entirely across the airport to your next gate with whatever layover time you have left. Otherwise tell her to enjoy the crap out of it. Eat different food and visit erverywhere. London has a different vibe than any other big US city I have ever been in.
  22. Any chance that is sporterized Nagant? The bolt looks like the round style it uses. But the cheekpad doesn't. No idea of time frame for this though.
  23. I am guessing the family pup is on the end of chain from the bumper. Looks like a fun day.
  24. How about they just make a video of her shooting? I could watch her all day long doing anything too. Lol
  25. I read that New York City does not have enough food in stock at any point to feed its entire population, let alone everyone that commutes in. I put back canned food and keep a few freeze dried food buckets. I keep salt and spices luke cinnamon, and garlic. Salt would be like gold after a while. I have been trying to do more in the way of water. I saw these and though they were a nice idea. Some people cover them and use them as end tables. You might have to treat the water for long term storage though. These are water bricks. They also make ammo bricks.
