  1. You were not much behind me then. Things at my school really started to change the year after I graduated. My girlfriend was still a senior and I would go pick her up. They put up all kinds of new fences with barbed wire tops and started to get majorly an@l about stuff.
  2. We had Hunter Education in my middle school. Everyone was required to shoot a shotgun. I bet they don't do that now. I wish they did. kids would be safer about guns. I heard that the shop class guys did gun work when no one was looking too.
  3. Might be cheaper somewhere else, or need a different size based on what case you ordered. Or if you know someone with that foam that you spray in a bag and it hardens up around the item while in the box. Charcoal Pick & Pluck Foam - 2" x 10.5" x 14.5" $7.30 Density:0.9 lbs Per Cubic Foot Usage:This sheet of foam is pre-scored into tiny 0.5" x 0.5" cubes that can be plucked out to form the perfect shape for your packaging needs. https://www.onlinefabricstore.net/charcoal-pick-and-pluck-foam-2-inch-x-10-5-inch-x-14-5-inch-.htm?gclid=Cj0KEQjw2fLGBRDopP-vg7PLgvsBEiQAUOnIXPTEiRtwmwM3Fqg3zlTTEx4rSEUxY9oRdqWTjXygNkkaAi2l8P8HAQ
  4. I like the idea...already been done though..dang it. lol I would have though they would have gone with the one that has doors you open on a carousel so that there was no falling ammo. http://concealednation.org/2015/03/gun-range-has-ammo-vending-machine-installed-some-people-cry-about-it/
  5. I saw an old Pepsi machine converted that way for sale a few years ago. I always wanted to do that with a 50's era fridge my Dad had.
  6. Thanks for the input so far guys. I was using some of the smaller plastic ammo cans, but got tired of having so many. I did pick up one of these MTM ACR7-18 Ammo Crates. Their exterior dimensions are 17.2" x 10.7" x 9.2"(H). Packed full it can be kinda heavy, but easier to stack up. I keep expanding the calibers I have and I like to keep a decent amount for each. I wish I had room and money for something like this. It is a Liberty Ammo Can Safe. Runs $420 at Cabelas. 59-1/2"H x 24-1/4"W x 22"D
  7. So I know all you guys could fit the ammo you have in your house in a sandwich bag....lol So just curious how you would store your ammo if you had a decent amount. I am not real happy with my solution at the moment. I would like for it to be secure, but buying a safe just for ammo is probably not going to happen. Then there is protection from moisture. Not that I want to store it in an aquarium, but just to make sure my steel case does not rust. Also, having 25 ammo cans stacked up is not real handy if I need the bottom can. Plus space in my "armory" a.k.a. the garage is limited. So what do you guys use? Thanks in advance.
  8. Who was asleep while he broke into the case and limped out? I always love the quality of these pics. This guy could be 1/2 the guys I see every day.
  9. Wow, Any chance this is still hiding in your attic? I love the name...no way would it fly today. Lmap
  10. Thanks. As always you are a wealth of knowledge. I would have never known that.
  11. Just about. lol. I know I got the Campmaster frame pack, tent, buck knife, bow, bb gun, swiss army knife, hammock, canteen, hatchet, and cook kit. Probably more that I forget. I still have most of it. I was a motivated kid. Would you believe i was not the top seller though? I remember my Dad dropping me at the end of a street in a subdivision and he would pick me up at the other end. Then we would do the next street. I was chased by so many dogs, I can't remember them all. I met a lot of nice people though. Lots just gave me the money and said keep the ticket. Sadly, no way would I do that with my kids now. Too many crazies.
  12. Guys Just thought I would update you. I did get that Taurus Model 94 Ultra-lite Nine. I ran 50 rounds through it and was really pleased. The sights are good, it feels good in my hand, and works like a charm. This model does have to hammer key lock, but I will probably never set it. I did get the keys and manual with it but no box. I am pleases for now, but I have decided I need a SR22 also. I will probably get the 3.5" threaded barrel model just in case the whole HPA goes through. I wish the 4.5" model came in a threaded barrel.
  13. I found this in some stuff my Dad brought up to me. This was my banner year in Cub Scouts. I think I sold 1296 tickets. Take a look at the prizes. BB Guns, Pellet Guns, hatchets. a Bow set, and Knives. These were the good old days when you did not get a plastic Frisbee or drawstring backpack for fundraiser prizes. Some parents would go ape sh!t if this was the prizes they used today. Also at the bottom it says if you sold the most tickets in the Council you got a free Disney Trip. Also shows sponsored by Ogles Water Park up in the corner. Simpler times.....
  14. I figured they would call "intent" anyway. Lol
  15. So if a Molotov Cocktail is a destructive device, then I could be arrested for carrying around a oil soaked rag and a bottle of whiskey in the same vehicle or on my person.....
  16. Just got an email saying that Grabagun has the TAURUS 709 SLIM for $185. Regular price is $329. http://grabagun.com/taurus-709fs-9mm-7rd-3-bl-1-mag.html
  17. Sorry to hold you guys in suspense. Work has made me crazy lately. I did get to handle one in a store and it seemed easier to rack than mine. Unfortunately, it was too busy in the shop to pop the slide off to compare to the spring I have in mine (no idea if I could visually tell the difference anyway). That is as far as I have been able to go with the 12 to 14 hour days at work. I still plan to strip it and clean it totally. Not sure if that will end up making any difference.
  18. These Marines must have watched Heartbreak Ridge recently. Lol. Good work on both sides.
  19. When I started reading that I thought it was going a while diff direction...... So Willis, what is an average cost to sharpen up a blade? I would have to ship them to you though....
  20. I would have no idea where to start.........except to drool
  21. I always carried a little no name lockback on me and I graduated just after you. I never even thought of pulling a knife in a fight even when I got confronted by 5 drunk guys at the beach during high school. My knife was a tool...along with my head that I used to to bluff my way out of that situation. Problem got solved and no one went to the ER or jail. Things we do to impress girls as kids.... I guess if I had feared for my life, I might have used it as a last resort. Simple way to avoid doing that is to not get yourself into stupid situations in the first place.
  22. I am guessing the poster mean that you would do a straight blade with handle and a ring at the end. Basic idea might be this, just nicer, I would see more of a blade than a spearhead on the end... just a guess though.
  23. Sounds like I need to check it out......and find out how you get to take week long camping trips.. lol. Sounds great.
  24. So that is a brace on that? I thought it was a stock. I still don't like the fine line and gray area of pistol v sbr enough to build a pistol that can be sbr'd easily. Too much potential for issues from people that are not 100% up on the law.
  25. So what paperwork needs to be filed on this? Is it not on a pistol lower? If it is not, is it not an issue having it assembled BEFORE filing?
