  1. Do I dare ask where you lucked up on that?
  2. I guess it is the trickle down affect as smaller and smaller venues and events ramp up security.
  3. Glad to meet you from the East end of the state. It is true, guns are like bunnies. You get one and then there are 3 in the box... Or maybe I am just an addict.... lol
  4. The mail lady at work cusses me I think. I have all the eBay stuff I order for me or work delivered to our physical address so that no one has to wait at the PO to get them. One day i think half her car was parts coming in for a project I was doing.
  5. The Whoops TSA thread reminded me that I wanted to post this. Went to a Knoxville Ice Bears Hockey game a few weeks ago. We go a few times every season. I was surprised to see a security line on the outside where you had to empty your pockets and get wanded. This is new this year. I never thought about carrying in my pocket knife in the past. I made a U turn to the car and then went on in. Has there been an issue there that I don't know about since i am not in Knoxville?
  6. Never done this on a plane, but ended up at a Federal building once with my EDC knife back in 2003. Security was nice, but seemed a little irritated. I got my knife back on the way out.
  7. Did I miss what caliber that one you just got is?
  8. We would be more than happy to see what your Uncle left you. Family guns are always the best and often times you find that there are guns you have never seen before in the group. Safe travels.
  9. Looks like they might have it online at $13.99 (same price). Free Shipping over $25. Couple other brands too. http://www.academy.com/shop/SearchDisplay?searchType=2&searchTerm=22 wmr&beginIndex=0&orderBy=4&pageView=grid&minPrice=&maxPrice=&pageSize=&categoryId=15759&
  10. I had a cousin get distracted by a friend while taking a leak and turned his stream directly onto the electric fence. Boy did he yelp. Lol
  11. I soooooo wish my Dad still worked as a machinist. We could have built windmills from scratch. In his younger machine shop days wayyyy long ago he refurbed a .50 cal windmill piece. Too bad is still is not part of the parts collection.
  12. Just saw this picture of the SilencerCo Maxim 9. This is their first integrally suppressed handgun. Local armory says they are not sure on pricing yet.
  13. Maybe he can be an example for all the people sitting on their butts whining they need a government check because they cannot find any work. Ryan Hickman's recycling business has recycled over 200,000 cans and bottles and banked him approximately $10,000. And did we mention Hickman is just 7 years old? http://mentalfloss.com/article/90784/meet-7-year-old-boy-who-runs-his-own-recycling-business?utm_campaign=newsletter&utm_source=mf&utm_medium=01_13_17-article_1-90784 That kid is going to go far.
  14. The place I was in today is $15 transfer for the first gun $5 each after that in the same purchase. $10 BG check. They are goin up next week though. I did not recognize the lower brands, but I did not look too hard since I really need to hold off buying uless it is a great deal.
  15. I was in s shop today and most I saw were almost a $100 before tax and bgc. Maybe I missed the cheaper ones somewhere.
  16. Yeah that is nice. I worked in a retail store in a tourist area for 5 years. I feel your pain about the BS. I would probably just put a bunch back or on layaway and buy them at once so you even save the multi charge on background checks
  17. Wow, now that is one to remember.
  18. Hipower Any chance you have a link to it? I looked on their site, but it is kinda hard to navigate for my mobile. Thanks
  19. You mean you are going to use them as part of that windmill so you don't have to be on the electrical grid, right?
  20. Good for him. Being the first on scene of a car crash is hard. I can't begin to imagine how hard it was to find some psycho beating an officer into the ground. A lot of people would have froze up. I wonder if the attacker caused the other car crash?
  21. Interesting, but are we sure the journalist is not a Magpul employee? Lol It sounded like he read all the sales pitches and used them to build his story. So the Marines will now be using the same mag I can buy. We will see how that works in real combat. I am not a fan of the windowed mags. Just another way to get crap in the mag to cause "stoppages"
  22. I agree completely. Even with the "use a hand drill" jigs it could go very wrong.
  23. I plan on trying to get to one of the local ones soon. i missed the last couple. I had even thought about trying out an 80% lower, but I don't trust my skills that much yet.
