  1. Great! Are you having them do a polished blue?
  2. My NEST cameras go off a lot, but I don’t call them “false alarms” because there is always something that caused it. I can go right to the video and its marked so I can see what happened. Do you have settings or sensitivity you can change? I can set different levels both inside and outside my “zone” I have setup. Mine is set to detect both motion and people inside the zone, so that’s what it does. I suspect if I set it to people only it wouldn’t detect a vehicle, but I don’t know that for sure. I also have it set to alert on sound (except on July 4th weekend). I’m 100 yards from the street, so if there is a sound; I want to know. If you are in a noisy area, you can turn those notifications off, or adjust the sensitivity of the microphone. Since Google has taken over NEST, my notifications take too long. Sometimes several minutes.
  3. I lost track of the conversation...are you talking about Olight?
  4. HIPAA rules governing Covid do not apply. You can bet that no matter who does the test, the testing labs is reporting the results to both State and Federal agencies, with your personal information. Not that I think there is anything wrong with that, you are already in government data bases, and its not like they are reporting you have an STD.
  5. We all are (well, most of us are). But we can’t lower ourselves to their level. You could punch her out and then try to justify your actions in court. I won’t.
  6. That is cool. I like the Navy’s shipboard version. Of course, I doubt it has a “less lethal” setting.
  7. I would have done just what they did, report it and have her arrested if they find her. Would I have punched her out or escalated the violence? Not on your life, I would not have laid a hand on her. He isn’t in danger. That’s a mental case with a can of pepper spray. He’s as weird as she is, eating lunch with dogs crapping all around him.
  8. I have not seen gun manufacturers or ammo manufacturers raise their prices in any of these price jumps that gun owners created for themselves. Unscrupulous retailers do it; and people continue to buy from them. (I’ll bet CTD can sell all the ammo they can get, and no one was ever going to buy from them again) The good retailers just can’t keep ammo in stock. But the manufacturers can’t justify more manufacturing equipment, because this will end.
  9. Sold. Actually most of them that sold appear to be around $150 per 1000.
  10. Your result is in decimal form. To get a percentage multiply it by 100. Or….just use this… https://percentagecalculator.net/
  11. I would guess getting stopped by a game warden would have the possibility of being way more expensive than being stopped by a cop. Especially if you have a rifle in the vehicle.
  12. I'm not a cop, but 55-9-401a. Or just FAILURE TO DO RIGHT ON SATURDAY NIGHT
  13. All these lights seem (to me) to be pretty much the same quality. I don’t want or need a weapon light, but I know a lot of people do. My issue is the switching on lights that have variable levels. I own Surefire, Streamlight and Fenix (Olight if you count my little keychain light). I want an on/off switch and a different switch to cycle through the light levels. I don’t want to have to tap out Morse code to change the light level. The Fenix PD35 V2.0 does exactly what I want for an everyday carry light, so now I have three of them. The Streamlight PROTAC HL 5-X does what it is supposed to do for a big light. But I just leave it on bright, the TEN TAP system they have is ridiculous. I wouldn’t buy another light from them as long as they are using that. Surefire has placed themselves out of my price range. If I was a cop, or military, sure, but I’m not and I can’t justify the cost.
  14. I've went to all rechargeable. I got tired of buying Surefire batteries by the box. One of my surefire’s will go dim as the batteries get weak. But my Surefire E2E goes from full light to dead. So now I require everything (other than a keychain light, obviously ) to be 18650 button tops, and I have a Nitecore charger. Batteries or charging isn’t an issue anymore.
  15. I just picked up the Olight i1R 2 Eos Keychain light. Plenty of light for such a small package. https://www.olightstore.com/i1r-2-kit-double.html?https://olight.idevaffiliate.com/idevaffiliate.php?id=217&gclid=Cj0KCQjwjer4BRCZARIsABK4QeX4SWfdGh3xv33DORg-Hl4R1LGaTVBUhv-rwG9K7pElSoEOR8kqzzIaAi3tEALw_wcB
  16. That doesn’t look like a brace, it looks like a stock to me. I don’t pretend to know all the NFA laws, but I don’t think you can legally put a hand stop on a pistol?? But, will any of that matter? I doubt it, they were shooting at a Police station. My guess is that will be okay with Metro Prosecutors and the Mayor.
  17. I thought this would be a good addition to my knife collection. While I’m not willing to invest in an original there are a couple of quality reproductions. Sheffield Cutlery offers a reproduction in both a polished blade or black. https://www.amazon.com/sheffieldcutleryshop-GENUINE-COMMANDO-SHEFFIELD-FAIRBAIRN/dp/B07CV21YG3/ref=sr_1_2?dchild=1&keywords=sheffieldcutleryshop&qid=1595509787&sr=8-2 Gerber makes a spin off of this knife called the Mark II. It was used quite a bit in Vietnam. I don’t care for a serrated blade, and that appears to be the only way they make it. But I’ve been very happy with the quality of everything I’ve had from Gerber. https://www.amazon.com/Gerber-Mark-II-Knife-22-01874/dp/B0017KXAGS/ref=sr_1_1?crid=2U67LTZBTLTCJ&dchild=1&keywords=gerber+mark+2&qid=1595511159&sprefix=Gerber+Mark%2Caps%2C178&sr=8-1 Please posts comments or pics of your fighting knifes.
  18. The two big factors for determining which cameras to buy are 1. do you have AC power available at the camera, and 2. the range of your Wi-Fi. If you have AC power the cameras will record 24/7. Without, they use rechargeable batteries and only record when they detect movement. I use NEST. I get notifications on movement or sounds and can check my cameras from anywhere. RING now has a nice outdoor floodlight with a camera. So you can just replace a floodlight that is there and have 24/7 recording with notifications. Doing it without Wi-Fi would require hard wired cameras. Adding Wi-Fi would probably be cheaper and less hassle. This is 2020 and digital home systems are becoming very popular. Being compatible with whatever home system you choose would be a consideration. NEST was purchased by Google and is part of “Google Home”. I’m not happy with that, Google is too big to give any real customer support, but that seems to be the norm now.
  19. http://rutherfordcountytn.gov/news/2020/july/mask-mandate https://www.wsmv.com/news/rutherford_county/rutherford-county-imposes-mask-mandate-effective-wednesday/article_ba98cdb2-cad4-11ea-8b33-bf883d4cab9d.html
  20. Rutherford county will require masks starting Wednesday. But I don't see in the news stories what the penalty is for those that refuse.
  21. I don't know what kind of quality they are, but this looks interesting. https://www.grizzly.com/products/Grizzly-31-3-4-HP-Combo-Lathe-Mill/G9729
  22. Most any name brand circa $300 benchtop drill press will work for general drilling jobs around the house. I’ve never built a suppressor, but I would think the tolerances required to position the bore to the centerline of the barrel mount would rule out a drill press, unless you have an accurate XY table that allows you to sweep it in to the centerline.
  23. Those stories say 300 labs were told to only report positive cases, the state didn’t need the negative results. Common sense would tell us that information can’t be used for information on the percentages. The governor blames the labs. 300 labs misunderstood the message from the state? That doesn’t make sense. Tennessee doesn’t have the ability to process our own tests here and send them to labs in Florida?
