  1. But a savvy investor can make money both ways.
  2. I passed on a '64 Bonneville Convertible, needed some work but was under a grand. It was the practical decision at the time, but I still sometimes think about it when I can't sleep... Or is it that I can't sleep because I'm thinking about it?
  3. So you're saying I might even get a couple nights that I don't have to fight for the blankets?! Thanks guys!
  4. What if they added finger grooves to the front??
  5. Nope. It's because 10 is a nice, round number.
  6. Isn't 10mm 2-3mm longer than 9x19? Would it actually be possible to safely stuff that into a G19 or G43 or G48 type frame, and have no feeding issues? I don't know enough to have a good idea, but I do remember reading a lot that converting a .45acp 1911 to 9mm can generate some feeding issues due to the differing geometries and I'm wondering if similar considerations would apply...
  7. This is also a very strong counterargument to constitutional carry...
  8. Big personal light bulb moment when I learned that Fistful of Dollars, For a Few Dollars More, and The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly are a trilogy.
  9. I tried English once, decided I better stick to ufdah, dontchaknow!
  10. Has it all melted yet? We're getting a couple more inches here today. Normally that much snow isn't really big a big deal but it's been cold enough that the ice melt they put on the roads is less effective, so the roads are staying more icy and slushy than usual.
  11. @graycrait, if you don't mind my asking, what's your half of the trade? Looks like a fun setup!
  12. I think this is a tutorial, in case anyone's interested.
  13. I'm reminded of that old joke: I'd rather die quietly in my sleep like my grandfather, than screaming like the passengers in his car.
  14. To be fair, even up here people don't get it until they've had one or two "learner" snow storms. Every. Single. Year.

    PLANS

Isn't .44spl pretty close to .357mag in terms of energy? I wouldn't be surprised to see less penetration from the larger diameter bullet, but it should make a bigger permanent wound channel and work at lower pressures.
  17. Really? Man, I was thinking about this earlier today and got so excitedi almost peed my pants!
  18. Third vote for Wheeler's FAT if you're looking for an in-lbs wrench.
  19. It's almost there, but I think will never be "correct" as it seems the subject and flag (at least) may have been positioned to account for the reversal. I noticed the size of the firearm as well. It occurred to me that it might not be particularly big, but rather that the person holding it is simply quite small.
  20. Interesting picture. The flag is, I think, a 28-star flag, which was apparently only "correct" for about a year starting in July 1846. Also, the cheek and lockwork seem to me like they're set up for a lefty. Maybe not... And the buttons on his jacket. I think the whole photo is reversed. So wouldn't the flag have been hung backwards then?
  21. That's fair. @Grayfox54 had better advice for you anyway. Screwdrivers made for gunsmithing work give a much more secure fit to a screw than do "standard" screwdrivers.
  22. Could you just buy some brass rod and make one? Or would that be too soft?
