  1. Do you only get one tag in TN, or have to pay for a second one? Why not just put two on and be done with it?
  2. Nah, just a hipster chick trying to one up all her hipster friends with a super authentic outfit.

    .38 super???

Well, let me put it this way: It's better than a .40... Oh! Seriously though, .38 super has enough energy for what you're thinking if you can find rounds loaded with suitable projectiles. In terms of economy, you're right about never finding anything that's truly cheap. You'd have to reload, or make friends with someone you're willing to entrust your fingers, eyes, and life to (and who's willing to take on the responsibility). And, if it would be an acceptable substitute, @CBOW, check the STI 2011 in the classifieds here.
  4. I'd say current manufacturing CAN BE better than ever. But if we seek to keep costs as low as possible in order to maximize profit margin, we're still perfectly capable of turning out some real turds.
  5. And it seems that two of these revolvers are exhibiting the same behavior. Maybe the same sample piece that's making the rounds, maybe a bigger issue...
  6. Uh-oh is about right. He also mentioned (about 31:39) having seen that behavior in other videos...
  7. @DaveTN, it is possible to blue at least some stainless steels. Just think, you'd have the only one on the block.

    Ruger 57

You know what? That's a really good idea. Fingers crossed for SHOT!
  9. @Luckyforward, thank you for posting this, and for the admonition. Based just on her secret recipe for screwdrivers, she sounds like someone worth knowing! Take care.

    Ruger 57

That was kinda what I took away from photos as well. I hoped I was wrong once, but I was just disappointed...

The magazines don't happen to be compatible, do they?
  12. At some point, we'd probably reach stasis. People would become polite and respectful if there were unknown, potentially severe, consequences for acting otherwise. Of course, some folks would need to be reminded (or taught) from time to time.
  13. This. People "go on a diet" when what they need is to change their diet (at a minimum, adding some other lifestyle changes is generally a good idea, too).
  14. And compare the position of that rifle with the one held by the soldier on our left. The rifles are rotated 90 degrees, so are the bayonets.
  15. Thanks @xtriggerman. By "forgiving" I meant more likely to still be reliable even if undersized or located too close to the muzzle. Not likely to happen, I know, but I was curious. I guess, thinking about shortening a shotgun's barrel, it would be smart to not go any shorter than the shortest length offered by the factory until you do some math...
  16. It was a new one on me, too. I haven't compulsively searched out information on ram pumps yet, but I am curious...
  17. Liquid brown all over everything? Lucky it was just cosmoline!
  18. @xtriggerman, do shotgun's tend to be any more forgiving than rifles (or vice versa) of sub-optimal gas port sizing or location?
  19. Didn't @KahrMan already provide the response his machine materially gave to that command? I could swear it. There was a picture, with two orange hands, and I could just swear the one on the right was a response to that command...
  20. Jeepers, your grandma must've really meant it when she said to stay away from the cookie jar!
  21. For all you prone shooters and gun geeks out there:
  22. @hipower, that sounds like a wonderful friendship. I'm sorry for your loss.
  23. That was about it, plus a little bit of I kind of understand how you feel. Take care, @hipower
  24. Me neither. That's pretty interesting, and makes me wonder what other tree sap could be syrupized.
