Thanks for all the responses. Price range…up to around $500.00. As far as ghost guns go, I don’t like the ATF sticking their nose in my business more than anyone else. But God forbid, if I was involved in a shooting with one, I think someone be it the police or a federal agency would step on my neck. This is off topic and I’m done.

My goodness, with the names these manufacturers give to their optics, one would think they were hypersonic missiles. I’m still looking as I’m a pilgrim at this and there are a lot of options. Years ago I had a Smith & Bender with a huge tube I picked up at Knob Creek.. I liked the post setup, but again I’m am an iron sight guy. The military like Aimpoint Pro Red Dot. Then there is the Vortex Optics Crossfire 1-4x24. Your options please.

Years ago I was building Hueys at CCAD. I and several other service members went into Mexico gift shopping. Upon returning carrying serval bags across the bridge, some sort of border patrol agent hollered out, “where are you from”, I replied “East by God Tennessee”. He then said come on, no Mexican can duplicate that accent. No iD check, bag inspection, nothing.

Thanks

Sorry, but I don’t know the ‘lingo’, what does ‘ipvo’ mean? I have been looking at some of the suggestions and comments, lots of good and bad comments. Heck, what does the military use? This will be my one and done optic. Iron sights are bullet proof and with the weapons I own, I’ll dig them out if necessary(see my handle). Thanks for the replies and keep them coming.

I guess the optics would be for emptying mags at the range as my home defense weapon is a pre ban HK M1 super 90 entry gun.

My nephew just finished building a AR with an A3 upper, and NO it is not a ghost gun. I have never used anything but iron sights. Would anyone care to suggest an optics system that would go well with an AR?

Mid South has a good selection of powder right now. No primers over the internet. Got a feeling they are selling primers to walk ins only.

Misdsouth has received some of our favorite powders, 4/29/22. /

Title says it all. Pm me if you have one. Thanks

I used a small lead shot placed under the screw.

Sorry for the mistake.

If “Swamp-monster” is right handed and doesn’t want the holsters, I’m left handed and interested. Thanks Bob

Before you drive, ask the lady to pull the op rod back and send you a pic of what’s stamped into the barrel. Post here and I think we can identify the caliper. You may have to talk her through the procedure.

Sorry Dustbuster, you beat me too it. Some guys may think your price is to high. But waiting for a year for a Dillon press and the other stuff you have, it’s a fair deal and will pay for itself in the long run. I have two Dillons, two RCBS’s, and Hornaday presses. How much dough I have invested, have no idea and don’t care. All I care about is being able to turn out quality ammo at a price no one can beat. Having .50 cal ammo cans filled to the brim gives me a warm fuzzy feeling.
-
If I’m not mistaken, I saw a couple of bricks of primers in his photos. Will get you started anyway.
-
Wow, for someone would wants to get into reloading, it’s all there. I’d bite but already have all the stuff.
-
I have the M1 entry shotgun. The pistol grip is worth it if your shooting stiff loads.

Inch or metric pattern?

Beltfed replied to FUJIMO's topic in Gear Classifieds
I have a really nice Russian Makarov in almost unfired condition with 218 shells. Maybe we combine the two to an interested person $325.0. -
What particular.35 are you reloading for?
-
Try Midsouth. The have .35, 177 grain, .355 dia. In stock.

Who says .45 ACP is not popular anymore?
Beltfed replied to Quavodus's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
I collect .45’s U.S. military marked pistols. If you don’t think you want it anymore PM me. It was developed to stop a drugged up enemy. Yeah, it’s a handful to carry, but when TSHTF, is the 9mm good enough? I’ll take the flying ash tray. -
I’m am a big fan of Dillon. I purchased mine used many years ago. I boxed them and sent them to Dillon. Brand new machines when I got them back. My 550 is getting a little tired and needs a rebuild, but I hate to see the bare spot on my very cluttered loading bench.

The square deal will run nothing bigger than a .30 Carbine. As far as pistol bullets go, it’s a ‘Mack Daddy’. I also run a 550. My big bitch with it is, I’m unsure the primer is seated correctly. My 550 is old with many rounds through it (see my user name). I have added several upgrade to the primer system, the best one being a roller bearing in back to keep the primer bar in alignment.
