So-A bad boy or so he thought got his clock cleaned permanently-play stupid games win stupid prizes. I can't even feel remotely bad that the Marshall's did their job-he was no choir boy that's for sure.

Castle doctrine-he is in my home uninvited with a object in his hand that can kill you as dead as a pistol or rifle-he is going to the floor with some help.

What kinda statement is that-I happen to have been a Yankee myself-20 years ago

One thing I did forget to mention-the Savage has an adjustable trigger-mine is very light-in fact I think I should probably put my trigger gauge on it and find out just how light.
-
I also am a fan of wood on a rifle-my 93fv savage came with a poly black stock that reminded me of one off a cap gun-so I did the Boyds and a steel trigger guard.

Seems like that's a pretty good ball park price-I traded a Ruger GP100 even up for mine.

I have a few Ruger Single Action pistols of which one is a early 70's Single Six-right before they started with the safety stuff-still a 3 screw

RANGE USA Closed up shop in the middle of the night
krunchnik replied to SonnyCrockett's topic in Handguns
Thanks for thinking of my plight In all honesty I think I will hold on for awhile-I am 60 years old this year and have very little want for a major relocate considering we have one planned 5 years from now. Hopefully something in the part time line will come up and I can work about 20 hours a week. I really hoped I could get another 5 out of RUSA but that's not happening I think all my coworkers were as surprised as I was-it is a bummer for sure. -

Yup-I am one of the displaced employees-I started at Range USA almost 2 years ago and enjoyed my work there very much. I was the armorer which is going to be a hard job to replace.I got my Sig and Glock armorers certificate while I was employed also. -

I do think that there are a few gardening tools in the mix -
And it seems like there are less and less manufacturers that are actually bluing steel but spraying a cheesy coat of paint on them. One in particular are the finishes on the Beretta line of pistols-shiny kinda fake looking paint.

The alloy frame will scuff and scratch fairly easy on the J-Frames-I guess it's just a fairly thin finish.

Ummm-do you mean Tucker Gunleather

Seems like one of the most efficient way of carrying a large revolver when hiking or other outdoor activities-I have a Galco Alaskan for my Ruger Single Actions that I really like

I really don't care for Cory Booker at all-the sound of his voice gives me the hives -
There is also a website called shipmygun-might want to give them a try
-
A person can ship that to a manufacturer for around $40.00-the last pistol I shipped to Buds Guns in Kentucky it cost me less than $40.00-it has to go second day air not overnight.
-
I also vote for sending it in-you more than likely will get a new slide and barrel-which pretty much makes the pistol like new.

I am gonna repeat what Garufa said-worth is what someone is willing to pay

22LR AR15 magazine question
krunchnik replied to gregintenn's topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
Your completely right about all plastic.I am the armorer at Range USA and we have a S&W 15-22 in our rental inventory-I clean it every 2 weeks and it is holding up pretty well. So far all I have replaced is an extractor hook and plunger with spring-A parson can replace the trigger group but the plastic lower pin holes get a little out of shape fairly easy. Magazines are kind of a soft spot-the feed lips at the rear get a groove worn in and the rounds will self feed all over the floor-it would be a good idea to have one as a spare.
