I usually go to bed about 1:00 AM and get up about 9:00. Everyone in my neighborhood seems to want to mow the grass at 7:00 AM. We need some kind of noise ban from 8:00 PM until 9:00 AM. No two people keep the same hours and he probably has no idea it is bothering you. People just do not think anymore.

The thing that bothers me the most is a firearm with messed up screw heads where some wannabe gunsmith worked on them with an improperly fitting screwdriver. Makes me want to scream.

Took a Mini 30 tactical to the range yesterday. I can't really compare the accuracy to the Rock River AR that I took along as both had iron sights and both were more accurate than I am.I also think the shorter barrels shoot better in the Mini's. Best shooting Mini 14 I ever had was a 13 inch barrel AC556 Model. It was a tack driver. Shot 100 rounds through each rifle yesterday with zero malfunctions from either one. Several other people were at the range and shot both rifles. Everyone seemed to think the Mini 30 shot just as well as the AR. The extra thump on my shoulder is reassuring in the fact that I do not doubt the stopping power of the 7.62 round. I have six AR's but like the Mini 30 better. Next time we have a panic, I will be selling all the AR's.

I have four of the tactical models and they are my favorite rifles. Ammo is a little pricey as I only use brass case. I have a few AR's but am not a fan of the 223/556 caliber. I tried a couple of AK's first, but could not force myself to like the feel of an AK. The Mini 30 tactical reminds me of an old M1 Carbine when I shoulder it. It's not perfect but so far it fits me better than anything else that I have tried. And I have tried a bunch of them.

As a former FFL, I can tell you that it is not uncommon. When I pressed TICS about why a customers appeal was not responded to, they would always tell me that many of the appeals were either incomplete or illegible resulting in them being unable to be processed. They recommend that the appeal form be completed in the gun shop and the dealer fax it to them. That way the dealer can check it to make sure it is complete and legible. I also had a customer denied at a gun show who came back 30 minutes later and told me they had approved him for a gun purchase from another dealer. I called him in again and that time they approved it. Go figure?

The Amish build them here in Etowah. They have a community just off Hwy 411 about 6 miles South of town. They have a farmers market where they sell their vegetables and the Community Mini Barns Business. They usually keep about a dozen in stock and will custom build you one. They have a man from Decatur who has a rollback truck, who delivers them.

You don't see them for sale as often now as most manufacturors now ship the flat top carbine with a magpul rear sight instead of a carry handle to cut costs. eBay and AR15.com still have one occasionaly but prices usually run $60-$75. Palmetto State Armory has a mil spec one for about $59 that is probably just as good. I would stay away from the $20 to $30 models. You usually get what you pay for.

You do not have to buy the permanent $93 tag. I bought a one year tag for my utility trailer. I think it was about $22.00. Utility trailers do not require a tag in Tennessee but Travel Trailers do according to my county court clerks office.

I have Glock 19's in gen 3 and gen 4. I like the feel of the checkered grip of the gen 4 but the gen 3 carries better for me. I use a Bianchi 7 Shadow pancake holster and the checkering on the gen 4 wears on the skin pretty badly.

Firearms agitator still waiting to fight gun charge (Embody case)

I have to agree. I think he makes all gun owners look bad and hurts our cause. On the other hand, if I were on the jury I would probably compensate him pretty well. -
That's what makes this country great. If you don't want them, then you don't have to buy them. If I don't want to sell my property for less than $100, I don't have too. Is this a great country or what.

I gouged yesterday. I sold three bricks of .22 on Armslist for $100. The girl across the street just got a scholarship and started college. Her dad kicked her out of the house because he wanted her to go to work and not attend college. She moved into the dorm without a dollar to her name. I gave her the $100. I feel pretty good about my gouging. Glad none of you flagged me on Armslist.

I have no idea. I have a new 2014 wrangler. I would bet by the time the warranty is out, Auto Zone will have a code reader for it.

I ordered 1500 rounds of the CCI Mini Mag HP from Cabelas in March. Just received my tracking number. CCI must be turning a lot of these out.

I carry a 638. I love the concept of a small single stack striker fired 9MM. My problem is that I just do not have confidence in the reliability of any of the small autos. I realize that some of them are 99% reliable but I am always afraid if I ever needed one, I would find myself with the 1% of the time that it did not work. If I ever need to use a gun, I will be so stressed out that I certainly will not want the extra stress of wondering if my gun might not work.I have a Ruger LCP that I carry when I have to have something truly concealable. So far it has been flawless. I still do not trust it nearly as much as the 638.

I have three. One government and two commanders. They can not be beat for the money.

About 8 years ago, I bought a new 50 HP John Deere. Did not take long to realize it was more tractor than I needed. I have owned 7 new tractors from 17 to 50 HP. Four years ago I bought a new John Deere 3032E 32 hp with hydrostatic transmission, four wheel drive, and a front end loader. $16,000 and 0% financing. It is my favorite tractor so far and I have owned New Hollands, Massey Fergusons, Kubotas and Deeres. It works great with a 5 ft bush hog. The front end loader digs in and breaks up hard ground better than my full size New Holland LB75b backhoes front loader. I can pull it with my half ton truck and it just barely fits under a standard garage door. Best $16,000 I ever spent.

I have a cousin who is a Marine. He brought back one of the giant pictures of Saddam that were posted everywhere. It would cover a whole wall. I thought it was a nice souvenir.

In my case the renter had a good job with the railroad and seemed like a good bet. His check for the deposit and first months rent bounced. 6 months and several attorney fees later we got them evicted. Left about 100 bags of garbage in one bedroom and 2 worn out sofas behind. Went to court and sued him. Got a judgment for $3600. Judge allowed them to pay it at $100 per month. They made one $100 payment then declared bankruptcy. I have one rented now. The renter has paid on time every month so far ( 6 Months ). Still had problems with the sewer stopping up. The plumbers dug it up 3 times before figuring out it was a problem with the utilities departments main. Utilities department repaired it after the lawn had been dug up 3 times . I rented out a house several years ago and had to evict the renters because all the neighbors were calling me complaining about how loud the tenants were. I don't think that I will ever rent out anything again.

The M16's have been donated to police departments without converting to semi-automatic.

I would not have a problem with background checks but for the fact that they want the serial number and description of the firearms. This is not checking out purchasers records. This is forming the ground work for a gun registry one day.

URGENT - Permit-less Car Carry in the Senate Tomorrow
eRay replied to wk05's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
It might be a good thing to have it plastered all over the news. My son-in-law is a police officer and neither he nor his fellow officers were aware of it until I let them know. I'd hate to see someone arrested unfairly due to law enforcement not knowing about the new law. Charges would be dismissed, but that would probably be after a ride to jail handcuffed in the back of a police cruiser. I say educate everyone about it. -

I'd bet 9 out of 10 Tennesseans do not even know about it. The news media has covered some of the other legislation taking effect July 1, but not a word about legally carrying in your car. If not for this forum and the NRA, I would not be aware of it. -
I always put in my ad that Seller will be required to sign a Bill of Sale. It is not a legal requirement but a lot of things not legally required are still a good idea. I expect you to sign that you are legally permitted to own a gun and I want your name and address. I also put my name and address on the bill of sale. This protects me if you ( or whoever you sell the gun to ) leave it at the scene of a crime. It also protects you if the officer who stops you for speeding next month finds your gun and runs it and finds it to be stolen. I am not turning this info over to the ATF and if you have nothing to prevent you from legally purchasing a gun, I don't think most reasonable people will object to this. I certainly have no problem signing a Bill of sale when purchasing a Firearm from you. If you have a problem signing one for me ( Just Buy Your Gun Someplace Else.)

Springfield Loaded. I have (13) 1911 pistols. 5 of them are Springfield Loadeds. I wish the other 8 were as well. Best gun out there for the money.
