When I had an FFL, I made it a practice to never sell cheap guns. I realize a lot of people can not afford to buy a quality gun but usually the people who buy these guns are the people who know the least about firearms. They buy a $150 gun and expect it to be as reliable as a Glock. Then they tell all their friends who know nothing about firearms how you are selling junk that does not work. I've found it better to stay completely away from all these headaches.

I had an N pap. It was a good looking rifle but the buttstock is so high that I could not get my eye down low enought to properly see the sights. I would recommend looking at one and sighting down on a target before actually buying one.

You are absolutely correct.

I have also been seeing ads for a new Rock River LAR-47 that also uses AK mags.

I stopped by my local dealer today and was very surprised to find that he had a new Ruger SS 10/22 that I ordered from Palmetto on Black Friday. I never dreamed that it would have shipped yet much less arrived at my FFL.

Now Obama is going to let you pay for Body Cams for Cops

Just when I thought Obama would never have an idea that I agree with. -
Wow... only 53 emails from Troy Industries this weekend...

Same here. They must have sent me the same email at least 15 times. -
OK. Dug out my TICS FFL Manual and checked the policy for doing a background check on more than one gun at a time. I wanted to be sure I got it right as Oh Shoot has a memory like an elephant and I want to make sure when he advises someone on this in the future, I have given him correct info. When an FFL calls in an instant check by telephone he is only allowed to check three guns. He can then call back and add additional guns to the tranaction at no additional cost. The purpose of this is so as to not tye up examiners doing stolen gun checks on a dozen guns while someone else is waiting trying to reach an operator. An FFL doing an instant check on the web, which does not require an operator, has no limit on the number of guns checked at one time.

I bought two Poulans and had bad luck with both of them. Went to Lowes about 5 years ago and bought a snall Huskvarna for $219. I've used it 5 years with 0 problems. Would not sell it today for $219 and if it ever quits I will buy another one.

Normally I would say a $49 pump was crazy but I bought three from Palmetto State Armory a couple of days ago for $99 each. Already got a tracking number. They were Stevens 320's but for $99, I had to try a few.

I guess they actually wanted money for the other guns, huh? Just kidding. Don't get your blood pressure up.

Someone needs to have some of these printed and sell them. I would love to have some.

First gun I ever purchased from CDNN was a Thompson Submachinegun back in 1987. Over the years I've bought dozens of guns and cases of ammo from them. Only time I was ever disappointed was with some Sig 228 magazines that I did not think looked new. Called them and they had me return them and promptly refunded my money. CDNN is a top notch outfit.

I believe it is. That being said, there is nothing wrong with plastic in a gun. Glock has done it very sucessfully for years. But Glock sells their guns for about $300 less than Colt. I am just a traditionalist as want 1911's to be all steel. You can buy an aftermarket steel housing for abour $35 and swap it out in about 5 minutes. I tried to buy a steel one from Colt to swap mine out but was told Colt no longer offers a steel one.

I have 14 1911 pistols. I bought all of them new. I have Springfields, Rugers and Smith &Wessons. I had 16 but sold the two Colts. I did not care for the cheap looking triggers, plastic mainspring housings, or plain looking aspects of the Colts. I have two of the cheapest Springfields ( Mil Specs ) which I would consider the equal of the Colt. They cost $550 each and have metal mainspring housings. I do not think todays Colt is the Colt we all remember so fondly.

If you look at the two big used gun classified sites in Tennessee, you will be amazed at how much most people ask for used guns. Most of the asking prices for used guns are far more than what I was selling brand new guns for in 2012. I think a lot of people are unaware that the scare of 2013 is over. I really do not think that many of them actually sell though.

Just about every gun I sell is in like new condition. I collect them. I am not much of a shooter and rarely shoot one. I had an FFL and still have accounts with a couple of distributors so I am able to check dealers cost. I price my like new used guns at the dealers cost of a new gun. The buyer saves the dealer markup, sales tax, and background check fee.

A Springfield Armory Loaded. I see them on Gunbroker all the time go for about $685.

The pendelum certainly seems to be swinging in our direction. But let's not get too excited. It could change directions at any time,

We live in a society where no one seems to have any respect for other people anymore. As my older generation dies off, it will only get worse.

I think a lot of cops have a thing about not liking to be challenged either by a person or a dog. They know they can get away with shooting the dog. .

Armslist says no to security software? That's not good is it?
eRay replied to Randall53's topic in General Chat
I have AVG free and Armslist works fine for me. -
I usually go to bed about 1:00 AM and get up about 9:00. Everyone in my neighborhood seems to want to mow the grass at 7:00 AM. We need some kind of noise ban from 8:00 PM until 9:00 AM. No two people keep the same hours and he probably has no idea it is bothering you. People just do not think anymore.
