Man, in sure sorry to hear this.

I shot a Ten Point recently for the first time. That cocking mechanism made it the easiest shooting crossbow I've ever put my hands on.

You can probably bet that when this crew starts tossing baggage overboard, she'll be at the top of the list... Sometimes there's a logic to telling outright lies. It's a test to see who goes along and who cries foul. You make a list and know who'll play ball when you really start implementing your plans.

You'd probably need to offer some more detail to get someone's interest. Is this a new design? Is it fabricating something for an older rifle that you can't find elsewhere? We've got people who love cool projects - but stuff like this is often a lot more work than it may seem.

The only things that stops me from jumping headfirst into this is that I like my wife and don't want to get divorced... -
Same code other side.

I had a code indicating catalytic converter issues, too. I wound up replacing all 4 to get it to finally go away now that emissions checking is smarter. p0430 maybe?

Veterans respond to Starbucks criticisms re: refugees
MacGyver replied to Chucktshoes's topic in General Chat
We can second guess motivations all afternoon long. I hate it when people second guess mine, so I guess I try to give others the same courtesy. But, it still stands that if we had other businesses with a storefront on practically every corner in America making an effort to hire veterans - for whatever the reason - we'd have a much smaller problem. I'm not waving their flag because I love the company or their coffee (even though that sausage sandwich is pretty good when you're on the road), but because their actions and communications back up their trying to do the right thing: https://www.starbucks.com/careers/veterans Call Operation Stand Down here in Nashville - they're also a great organization to get involved with. They'll tell you about pointing their vets to places like Starbucks as they work on things like housing, medical needs, etc. They've got schooling benefits, too which ought to let you defer using GI Bill education benefits. -

Starbucks deserves props here. And, I say that as someone who has seen them hire individual veterans that I've known in transition, and ones I've been privilleged to meet through programs like Room In The Inn. There will always be mental health issues that will contribute to homelessness issues. But, if every big company had the commitment to hiring veterans that Starbucks has, we'd have a much smaller problem than we currently have. Your care for one group doesn't have to exclude another one. -
Here's the one I used: http://m.oreillyauto.com/h5/r/oap/site/c/detail/MPJ0/270/07127.oap?year=2006&make=Nissan&model=Xterra&vi=1433009&ck=Search_u+joints+-+rear+shaft_1433009_-1&keyword=u+joints+-+rear+shaft

I had an '06 Xterra that had the same factory U-joints. I replaced them both around 185K miles after they started to chatter a bit. I look at u-joints as a wear item - just know that ones that can't be greased might wear a little faster. I say might, as they're supposed to be sealed. But the needle bearings in mine were rusty as all get out when I pulled them. If it really bothers you, new heavy duty u-joints with grease fittings are maybe $12.

Tough week in Ashland City. They're looking for an officer this morning who went after a car in the river.

That's great to hear. Here's hoping for a speedy recovery.

Please do update us when she comes through.

Oh man, you've got it.

I'll look at this from another perspective, and simply say from both an engineering and manufacturing perspective - not to mention market demand, We should probably have multiple sub $400 ARs at this point. There's no market reason holding them back There is plenty of room in the market for higher end, higher priced boutique stuff. But, there is no reason a basic AR with mil-spec components and a decent barrel need cost more.

I mentioned in the other thread that I would be hesitant to shoot one with a 22LR. 17 HMR is a different story. Within 100m, so long as the wind is within reason, I wouldn't and haven't hesitated with the 17. That is one positively explosive little round.
-
The .44mag is a good choice. If they're attacking pets I wouldn't back away from using .22LR if I was somehow limited (range, houses nearby, sound, etc.). But, I'd definitely choose something that hits harder to increase my chances with limited opportunities.

I was taught pretty much the same method to just "take their pajamas off":

Can you draw it from your pocket without having to readjust your grip before firing? That's generally where every pocket pistol other than a j-frame breaks down for me.

A good pen, practical and tactical

Zebra F-701 for decades here. All stainless. Unlikely to get taken by a overzealous TSA agent. And, it'll only set you back $5 if you lose it.
