LOL! My wife wants the 32" as well. So she will most likely win out on this.

Been looking at the ad. The Lenovo model is one I've been considering. Probably will order it. Thanks for the info!
-
Automatic. That's my style. No muss...no fuss, or work, installation. lol
-
Thanks. I didn't think of checking WW.

Thanks to all. I think I'll go out this afternoon and look at several units. Not sure exactly what I'll do, but the desktop is definitely leading. So I'll be pretty much comfy with it. DaveTn, thanks for the advice. I like the looks and specks of that linked Lenovo. Very good price. Don't like the wired keyboard, but can live with it. I'm assuming Optical refers to wireless mouse, so it might be leading at the moment. Now, my thanks for all the advice and comments. Hughd, btq96r, jGrady, 10_Ring, deadeye111, peejayman, No_one, Trekbike, and Jamie Jackson, I appreciate your coming to my aid. I won't say I understood it all, lol, but I gathered some info that will get me to where I want/need to be. Thanks.

Yes, the HP has all these connectors. So it's not totally unfamiliar.

Thanks for the comments. Now I have to interpret them. Basically I think, for me and what little I do, an out of the box standard model with similar specs to what you mention will do. Anything more than that would be a waste. Gaming, for me, has been rousing games of solitaire.

Interesting thought. Thanks. I could keep my current monitor that way.

Not really savvy enough to know what to ask for in a build. My needs are really rather simple. Not a games person, just like a large monitor(24-32 inches), wireless keyboard and mouse. The all-in-one format probably is the route to go since it would seemingly take less space on my desk. But going back to my original question...comments on the Lenovo would be appreciated. Again, thanks for the input.

We have a laptop that is pretty much my wife's. I really don't care for it. I just have gotten addicted to sitting in our office and doing things. I probably could change, but old and stuck in my ways. lol

I'm looking for a little help from the tech literate people here. I'm in the market for a new PC, desktop or an all-in-one unit. Since we just became a 2 retiree family, I'm looking for sub 1000 pricing. Not finding much in the desktop models that interest me but the old tried and true HP. I'm on my third one, but it's going downhill fast. Sam's has a nice desktop right at a grand, but also has a Lenovo all-in one that sort of pulls at me for around 800. Specs seem to be about the same, so I'm asking for help. Thoughts? Thanks in advance from the almost luddite old guy.

OMG!!! My wife is a SunJoe fanatic. She has bought 2, over the years, of their pole saws. I laughed at it the first time I saw it and refused to use that "piece of junk." Well as you would think, I did finally use it to cut a lot of limbs, and even cut up to 5/6 inch ones when a Hackberry went down in the back yard. I was very impressed with it. The little thing cut very well until I burnt the motor out on in last fall. We now have another, still in the box, and she did order a pressure washer recently. I don't know the specs on it, but if anything like the pole saw; it should be ok. I'm sure it won't be a real heavy duty model though. We shall see in the spring when it gets used.

Back in my days with Keystone, I sold a lot of glass to auto body, mechanical shops, even individuals. Our glass came from all sorts of manufacturers. Some OEM marked. Some not. I did find that many windshields marked as OEM or not, came from the same facility. Same glass, just not labeled for a particular brand. In 14 years with them, I sold and delivered upwards of 1000 pieces of glass. I can say that I never had a complaint about any of them. And I saw the same set of people almost weekly on my route. They DID NOT spare me any comments if there was a problem with anything I sold or delivered. If you have a reputable guy install the glass, don't fear the "It's not OEM" comments. Safelite is good. They just put in a windshield on my wife's 09 Impala for a mere 300 bucks. She wouldn't wait for me to get with my old contacts to do it for 125. And...it was an OEM glass.

I did finally order some Wednesday evening. It arrived today. Well packed and protected. No huge lettering on the box to alarm the FedEx carrier.

I want a Glock in 22mag with a 20+ capacity.
-
Aha. That's why the XD is leaving. lol I see a Masada in your future.
-
JMO That is the ugliest thing I've seen in a long while.
-
Now 3743 on box count. lol I actually think I'm going to order some. I have my PMR30 and a K22 in 22mag. Got a little stashed, but more is usually better. If some of these news readers knew what a real supply of ammo was...they'd probably faint.

I saw my first Tennessee Armadillo in 1998, on the daily run from Nashville to Columbia on 65 South. I believe it was past Saturn Pkwy towards Bear Creek Exit. Yes, flattened on the road. I was told I was crazy. "There ain't no Armydillos in Tennessee!" Took about a year or so before most of our route guys in middle and west Tn were seeing them.

Just curious. What do you consider the "right" High Standard? I've had several versions and wish I'd kept them all. lol
