  1. Sweet pistol. I still have my Dad's Colt Agent and Detective. Both appear to be about like yours condition-wise.
  2. My posting was actually directed at Steelharp. We have a running sarcastic and sometimes funny, friendship, but I love the guy. Now on to you. I really hadn't heard anything on the 44. I've been out of touch for a while. I do like the idea, especially if it allows me to rid myself of those horrid mags. But Id be stuck with a very good shooter in my 17 conversion, unless by wonderful chance, Glock builds magazines that would fit it. And to think about it...it probably would. Would you agree?
  3. Don't make fun of the 22 idea, steelharp. Some of us poor people like shooting 22. lol Actually have a G17 frame with an Advantage Arms 22 conversion kit on it. Sweet shooter. The only flaw it the ridiculous mags for it. I'd like to see a 22 Glock with some good mags. JMO
  4. While I wasn't a particular fan of Super Dave, I do mourn the loss to his family and friends.
  5. Somebody thinks like Dolomite! The more I look at this, the more I like it. The holster, not the Morton Salt Gal.
  6. Had several Kahrs...just cannot seem to like them.
  7. The only way you'll get the answer is to go. If you are determined to go, search gun stores to find what you want and check pricing before you go to the show. That's about the only way to know what's a good vs bad price.
  8. I kept saying that about the Shield. lol
  9. Sorry buddy, I missed your comment on the two-tone finish. I kind of like it. lol
  10. Interesting, I must admit. Like it better than the G43. But what's not to like about 5 more rounds? Whether I'd give up my Shield for it is another matter. Would have to spend some time with them side by side first. Also some very good information on the G48. In spite of some of my earlier comments, I can now see some justification for the 48 vs the 19. Would I buy one, probably not. But now have to fully agree With TGO David. I believe the G48, and the G43X will sell well.
  11. Like many of us, I have several 22s. Rifles and pistols. Though pistols are my favorite, I do have 2 rifles that I'll never let go of. A Winchester 75 that was my Dad's. I must have been 7 or 8 when he got it. Paid a tremendous amount of money for it...125 dollars and that included the Unertl scope on it. lol I remember it well. We were living with my grandparents at the time, and they gave him a great deal of hell over spending that kind of money on a gun. That should have been about 1962 or thereabouts. The other is a Ruger 10/22 I got from one of our good guys here...DolomiteSuprafly. It's been heavily customized. All towards great shooting and accuracy. Green Mountain Heavy target barrel, and a Volquartsen trigger group that is unbelievable. More that I don't remember offhand. Dolo cautioned me not to attempt to remove the trigger, as he had polished, fitted, and shimmed every part that needed it. I can tell you that it is a superb 10/22. And has a threaded barrel, so my cheap can is a ball on it.
  12. In a single word...No.
  13. ^^This. I have done it with my late mother's car. She wished it given to her brother. I took the title to the local county clerk's office, explained what was happening, and was done in less than 5 minutes. It did help that my family was known there, so no problems at all about the gift to a relative transfer.
  14. Was thinking the same thing all along. No real info ever given, even with repeated questions. What kind of firearms person would buy a 1911 and not identify it when talking about it? Very strange post. And a first-timer from Florida. All combine to be very, very strange.
  15. Buddy...you are a master of understatement!
  16. You are a cold, cruel man! lol
  17. Really? Not that I'd know much about them, but I've not seen one like that. Any ideas on where to locate one? Actually I'm waiting on a back in stock item from Classic Firearms(?). A supposedly full auto BB gun that looks like an AR. I'd have to do some painting on that one before taking it anywhere though. If it's as described, it would be a mess having a LEO seeing you with it. Edit...Never mind Garfua. I found it on Amazon. You can get ANYTHING on Amazon it seems. lol
  18. Magiccarpetrides . Never dealt with him on autos, but a good guy on firearms. He's in the Knoxville area.
  19. Sacrilege!!! lol This has gotten me to wanting a Beretta Compact. I'm hopeless.
  20. Didn't know it was on. If I can tear my set away from my wife and the Game of Thrones binging, I'll try to get a few episodes in. David Tennant is my favorite Doctor, btw.
  21. That S&W is so ugly that I want it!
  22. Welcome in! At least you have your priorities in line. lol I'm from just up the road a piece. The great metropolis of Baxter.
  23. VERY, VERY nice!
  24. 9. 45. Doesn't matter. They are just about the same anyway.
