  1. hey, Metalhead...what ever happened with your Emergency Kit?
  2.   Getting close to joining you, brother. I can find my way around for the basic search things, but that's about it. Hmmm...that's about all I do anyway.   But already having to re-sign in on all my favs sites. No big problem, but a pita non the less.
  3. Phased Plasma Rifle in the 40 megawatt Range.
  4.   Well...at least it would match my Taurus 38 Super Pimp 1911.
  5.   My AR9 that uses Glock mags. ammo and mags everywhere.
  6.   Armageddon!! Armageddon!!   If you haven't heard the story...I can't explain it. lol
  7.   You stole my line. lol   Yep, I've often wondered about him and how he retained a job. He couldn't be as dimwitted at the show portrays him.  Then again...
  8.       The trouble is I haven't found Settings on this yet. lol Thanks, I'll get there eventually.   I just hate change.  My last manager told me that once. Said I didn't react well to his new directives. Funny thing is, he wasn't there long. I kept plugging along and outlasted him by about 4 years.   Probably would still be there but for the health issues that surprised me. lol
  9.   Yes. If I could have fit comfortably in it. lol
  10.   I had a similar situation to consider when I bought a new vehicle. Needed 4 doors, as was looking to care for and help inlaws eventually.  So it needed, I thought, to be capable of fulfilling my requirements as well as possible needs.   I looked at about every wagon style, sedan, and SUV I could find. On the basis of like and possible use in the future; I chose the Chevrolet Traverse.   Has 4 doors, plenty of room front and back, rear lift gate and good cargo room. It also has a flat floor pan, with it being front drive. Easy to get in and out of all four doors. Rides fairly comfortably, and is getting a solid 18-20 mpg. I have only 34K on it now and it seems to get a bit better with each tank. It's 5 years old in about 45 days, and the service dept tells me I've just barely got it broken in, milage and engine wise.   The only drawback that we've seen so far is that the 20" wheels ad a bit of height. More so than the 17 or 18 wheels. It seems that little amount does give shorter people/passengers a bit more difficulty in getting in.   For your projected use of Cleveland to Chattanooga, I'd say no to it. For your wife and inlaws, I think it's worth taking a look at.   And BTW, I did look strongly at the Tahoe Enclave.   The Tahoe, you know about. The Enclave is the Buick version of the Traverse. Very nice, but averages 12-15,000 higher in price. Had I the money, I'd have gotten the Enclave.   Just my opinions and observations. Both worth what you paid for them.     Addendum   One more advantage for me...headroom. I have some back issues and like/need to drive upright as much as possible. I have to recline seats in most vehicles, except p/u, to get in and drive. Just doesn't work for me.
  11. Ok...I have relented and won't banish it just yet. :dropjaw:   But still not very happy with it. My next chore is to get the font size back to where I had it. This darn tiny print is killing me.
  12.   I've used the S&B ammo for years. It's great. And I get 124 grain almost exclusively now, if the price is comparable to the 115.
  13.       If you guys can remember as far back as I can. lol She was also the feisty young daughter in the comedy show Sybil Shepard did in the late 80's. First redhead I ever lusted after.
  14. DAYEM!!!!!
  15. Gordon, I have in no way had the terrible problems and experiences you have, and wouldn't dare compare myself to you or them.   I will say that after the last couple of years of recovery from my issues, I do have a better outlook on most things. I try not to be quite so troubled by little things, even money troubles. It has been a long time coming though.   I was sitting on my back porch yesterday after putting some shelves together in bare spot in my "supposed gun room." I saw the green coming back, the wind in the trees, and was listening to the flowing water in the spring. I had so much peace at that time, I couldn't help but reflect on the change in myself over these last years.   I think I have changed for the better, I really didn't like myself that much, and still don't. I have a lot of failings to overcome yet. But still trying   Within the scope of my abilities, worldly, fiscally, and physically; I'm trying for the outlook similar to what you describe.   Coming troubles will come...regardless of fretting and worry. Just try to be prepared and face them as we can.
  16.   Yeah...that's an interesting cake.
  17. Appreciate all your comments guys. I will say this...I will play with it for a day or so.   But let me say again...I really am NOT in any way shape, fashion, or form a tech sort of person. I really am about at my upper limit here. And maybe it's a character flaw, but I have zero interest in becoming "advanced to using 10." Doesn't mean I won't look it over though.   I'm not holding my breath in anticipation of loving this.   And I do not exaggerate when I tell of the level of my skills in the current world of pc, smart phones and the like. I guess you could call me a Luddite.
  18. Ok, those who know me have a good idea of my non-existant tech skills. Foolishly...I hit the link for Windows 10 download. I do not like it.   So, in a nutshell...how do I get rid of it?
  19. I'm working my way there. lol Just very slowly.
  20. Seen this in several places, mostly FB, and other forums. But it's an interesting analogy. And of course my wife, the John Wayne fan(atic), told me about it as well. Then asked me if ole John actually said it. lol
  21. Dang. I better leave here and go watch the episode. Sounds like big things happened tonight.
  22. Congrats on the new hawgleg! I have a couple of Springers, and am very happy with them.
  23.   Hey now...I like Water World. Jean Tripplehorn was hot.
  24.   That was total, pure :poop: .
