Ya' got good taste Garufa. Levon and the NGDB and thru The Band days has always been one of my favorites. Yes, a rough voice, but a tone and a quality that can bring tears to the eyes of an old fart like me. Damn...I miss him.

Late to the party, but I say leave it alone too. Looks kind of snakey to me and I like that.

I have 3 10/22 rifles. Don't ask me why. It's a long story, but all shoot like the dickens. The only problem I've ever had with any of them is with some of the waxed 22 rounds. They sometimes don't seem to feed well. Simple solution to that...I don't use them in the rifles. They are for one of my revolvers. Best 10/22 I own is a customized one I got from DolomiteSuprafly, one of our great members. It is unbelievable! It would be the last 22 I would ever part with.

Dang, are you going to start a long thread! lol Picking one of the many options is worse the picking guns! I'll try and get seax to chime in on this. He has been pretty smart on these.

Sig Sauer P226r .40S&w like new for $450, $15 shipping

Yes, the CDNN add says they are police trade in guns. I've bought from them and gotten great condition. Once I paid for a better condition pick and when I received it, the pistol looked new and unfired. And it was a 226 then too. -
Personally, I do think the wheel wells do seem a bit under filled. But going up to 22s and a wider taller, wider tire may change your mileage a bit. And I don't know how much, if it will affect the readouts on distance and speed changing the diameter of wheels and tires on the truck. It used too...don't know if new computer systems can compensate for that or not. Then there's the cost of new rims and tires added in to it. Having said all that, I went with the factor 20 on my Traverse(yeah, give me crap over comparing it to a big truck) and as much as I like the look, I do wish now that I'd gone with the 18 inch instead. The added height does make a less smooth transition in and out of it. Add in that my wife doesn't like it either. She has to use the grab handle to get in. So I guess I'd say see if you can get a wider and taller tire on it. But at the end, it's your opinion that counts.

Interesting. I've heard of this, but never seen one. I've been known to us a method similar to nightrunner, but have a stiff leather holster for the gun of choice. But in the end, what works for you is the best choice.

Yep. Had that massive pressure as well. As peejman suggested, pinching the nose, closing mouth and blowing can help sometimes. But when at the sage you describe, I can do it and feel like I'm trying to open an airlock door against a vacuum seal; it just won't help. I wish I could help you. But doc, meds, rest, and running the course seem to be the way it goes. Do what you can, and support your wife thru it as well, that can make it easier. I found out the hard way to be sympathetic to her needs as well.

Good comments and advice. I have had perforations and had them repaired. Recently did have a drain put in my right ear for drainage. It does help, but still can get a buildup of fluid behind it. I really have to avoid water in the ears when showering. So I have a good relationship with my ENT. lol And I will somewhat disagree about the cotton. Maybe it does or doesn't stop an infection, but in since my first infection about age 6, and thru a couple of ear surgeries, all my docs have suggested cotton for use, at least on, for those cold and windy days. I find it irritating, but it does seem to help me at any rate.

I sort of agree with you on that, buddy. But I had one and it really isn't bad. I think, in my uninformed opinion, Sig's DAK trigger is meant to combine the safety advantages of a SA/DA pistol and have the short pull of a striker fired pistol. I may well be wrong in this, so I'm prepared to be schooled on it. But the DAK guns are really nice to shoot. I just prefer the striker models that are so much more prevalent these days. Now as far as Sig and their seemingly 100's of variants in each model...I hear and agree. It's almost impossible to keep up with them. I've had a few Sigs, but don't seem to keep them. Mostly because of the size and weight. I know that is an advantage in firing a lot and keeping down recoil fatigue, but I just can't stay with them. Usually. lol I do LOVE my Sig 1911's. I have 3 now and just can't part with them. An RCS for carry. A Nightmare for looks. lol And a TacOps for home and range. Not saying I don't like and have other brands, but the 1911 are really pretty awesome. JMO. lol OK, sorry for the length. I do get carried away easily. As you all know from my rep and some meets. -

That's me too. I used to have a gentleman at the gun show do mine, but I haven't seen him in quite a while. -
FWIW, after shooting my Glocks, I do a basic field strip and wipe everything down with Hoppe's or a Birchwood Casey silicon cleaning cloth. You can even swab the barrel with one. I sold one several years ago, and the buyer commented that it was "slicker the owl s...t" afterwards. Yeah, do a brush cleaning on the barrel to keep it copper free or lead free if using reloads. But essentially... shoot the hell out of it and wipe it off afterwards. It's a Glock. It's made to withstand punishment and infrequent cleanings. lol

I am truly sorry for you my friend. I grew up having massive ear problems. As you say, it can be extremely painful and debilitating. And I had another bout with it about this time last year. Like you, it brought back some very unpleasant memories. I still use small tufts of cotton in my ears if I'm going to be outside in the cold or windy days. If I stay out in the winds, I can almost guarantee that I'll have a massive ear ache that will go into sinusitis every time. So really take care of yourselves during this. Do you have any clue as to where you might have been exposed?

The lower price on this one is for the DAK(Double Action Kellerman) trigger version. For some reason, these didn't get real popular with the general gun buying public. It's basically a DAO(Double Action Only) pistol. Some liked it, some didn't. I've had 2 of them, so I guess I fall into the "didn't" category. There is nothing really wrong with them, it just depends on which trigger type you prefer. Unless I misread the add that is. -
I did a donation last week, and will again as funds permit. Should have used my screen name, I think that's one of the few times I actually didn't. That, and a couple of names I'd rather not get out, is about all I'm known by.

Still chuckling on that. Reminds me of what a friend had done to her. Someone welded a plate on the bumper of her car. The plate read "Let go of my ears...I know what I'm doing."

This was pretty good. I'll score it at 7/2 for the guys.

You guys are Great!

This has promise!

Dang! That looks close. Any scrapes this outing?

Yes, I saw that...and if you see the post I made in the comments for that article, I did miss that point. But I did mention the possibility of tempting fate by taking a voyage on the Titanic (II). Would you? I'm not sure. Even though it's pointless, money wise, for me to think of it.

Hmmm...I guess that will leave me out. Way late in getting in.

My guess it is showing the vote difference in the two and how it would appear that Hillary would beat Ted. JMO
